Help the Dogs when you shop
 
With the Holiday's approaching, I bet a lot of people use Amazon.com to order items. If you go into Yorkie Haven Rescue Yankee Candle Sale, there is a link to Amazon.com. Your purchase will benefit the Rescue and help the dogs. So, you save money, shop at home, and help some pups. What is better than that? Try it, you will like it, I promise.

WOW...thanks so much, Steve! Yes, this is a great way to help the pups without having to spend extra money. In this economy many people do not have extra money to donate......what better way to help than to buy the things you would buy anyway and let the merchant do the donating! :)
Amazon gives a nice percentage to YHR when people use that link! Yorkie Haven has other links on the front page to businesses that also donate to the pups...all of them are on the left side of the home page!

I didn't know this, and I sometimes shop via Amazon. Now when I want something from Amazon I will go through YHR.

It is easy, it is there, and it benefits the user and the end uder, the Pup! I will make sure my friends and family know.

Shoot -- wish I had seen this earlier. I just ordered a Fisher Price iXL (kind of a kiddy ipad sort of thing) and games for my grandson's Christmas. I am sure I will be using Amazon more before the holidays and I will make sure to use the YorkieHaven link. Making a sticky for the edge of my monitor now!

BTW -- I love the new blanket I ordered from YorkieHaven boutique! It matches the Hot Pink & Zebra bed I just got for Annie. It came very quick! If y'all have not visited their boutique -- pls do. Their things are very nicely made and you know the money is going to care for a little rescue in need. They have beds, blankets, toys, dresses, vests, gift items and more!

We just received a box of items that I have to take pics of and get them listed. Small things that are nice for the people stuff section! All yorkie related items...earrings, pins, note cards and misc items like that!

No pendants. The earrings are posts and I kind of like them. I will let you know when I get a pic taken of them.
We also have some earrings that I make...they are drop style with little polymer clay yorkie beads. I have a couple of pair but need to make some more soon.

I'm about to purchase something from amazon and saw this post steve. thanks so much. Although i just want to make sure that Yorkie Haven benefits from it..cause when i clicked on the link..its just the regular amazon page...i looked all around for somewhere that says it may benefit yorkie haven? :confused:

Try going to www.goodshop.com. There should be a box to click on that says Who Do You Goodshop For? You can select YHR or another favorite charity and save it so that anytime you shop online at Amazon, Ebay, Walmart, Target and hundreds of other stores a portion of your purchase will automatically be donated to your charity - you never have to do anything else except shop. Have fun shopping! :D

Goodshop is ok, but using the Amazon link will give YHR a larger percentage. That is when you are shopping Amazon.
Also...Goodshop issues checks once/year.
IGive is another one similar to Goodshop....we have a link to them on our home page as well! And, they issue checks once/month!
As to the question about whether the Amazon link gives credit to YHR, take a look in your url window...it shows YHR in that...I have bolded it below to show you...this is not a link here that you can use...I am just showing you!

I didn't realize it was a larger % that way. I'll have to start doing that!

We get 4% up to 6% using the Amazon link. I believe the highest with Goodshop is 1.5%

Goodshop and Igive are great for other stores! We get checks every month from Igive and they add up! :)

That is fantastic! I know I had read about the amazon thing long ago but by the time I got around to ordering, I had forgotten! Now I have a fail safe for my poor memory. Thanks a lot for giving us this site. There are always people who know things that are new to me here. I appreciate the opportunity to learn. Going to goodshop.com now!

FANTASTIC!!! This should definitely be a sticky somewhere. We all buy stuff year round, so it's super easy to help the YHR pups.
