Thinking about getting Patrón a little buddy? Comments? Well this past week I have been entertaining the idea of getting another Yorkie from the breeder I purchased Patrón from but I am really unsure of if I should wait till he is a little older or go for it now. =/ Any comments from parents of two furbabies plus in their home? Any advice or comments are greatly appreciated! Patrón turns five months on Oct 26th. |
I think having 2 is great. They play with each other and have company when you're not home. |
I have two, but I waited until mine was almost 2 before adding another. I say as long as you are okay with having two puppies, go for it! :) |
Thanks for the comments!! I am really considering it because Patrón has just brought so much joy into my life after a very severe head trauma accident happened. |
One is never enough. |
Yep, getting a single yorkie is like opening a bag of chips and expecting to eat only one of them...it never happens, lol! Go for it if you can handle 2 puppies, or wait until later and in the meantime just have a bunch of playdates to get your fix :D |

Well I forgot about puppyhood . We have had Summer for a few weeks . She and Sunshine get along pretty well but crate training and potty training is ,well we do not get much rest . Now I have 2 of them exerting Yorkie mind controll on me hahaha . Steve |
It was my idea to get a Yorkie. DH didn't really like the idea because he didn't like small dogs. When we brought Sandy home, he's in love and he wants another Yorkie so that Sandy has a friend ;) We've spoken to the same breeder and she suggested only to have another one when Sandy's at least 18 months old (he turned 1 in August). We'll have to wait until next spring for a new puppy. I hope she will have one available at that time. |
If you can do it, then go for it. I only have Duke and have thought about getting a sibling for him. However, I won't be able to leave both with my family when I go away so that stopped me from getting another one :( |
