Once again there is an "accident" and puppies on the way to an inexperienced breeder. Please don't let this happen again and spay and neuter. When the puppies are born be very careful who you are selling to so that you do not perpetuate the cycle and sell on a spay/neuter contract to pet homes. :( |
You have contradicted yourself--if you are going to keep them, then why are you asking for advice on how much to sell them for? Again, my answer would be to see if you can manage to place them for the what it costs you in vet bills, IF that much. You cannot offer registration, you likely cannot offer any kind of health guarantee. It's what would be fair to potential new owners--and afterall, finding good owners is more important than making a profit, or even breaking even, right? After how many times does something cease to be an "accident" and become irresponsibility instead? (Rhetorical.) Also, how common is it for an extremely small dog-one to small for breeding--to suddenly and miraculously be much larger with a misjudged weight once they are expecting. Seems to happen quite a bit here on YT. (Again, rhetorical.) |

Here it is you had an "accidental breeding" those costs are on you. Your mistake, your problem. You will need to do all to insure the health of your bitch through the whelping and rearing of said pups. Place those pups that have no papers, no health checked breeding dam n sire, with good homes, if there are more pups than you can safely keep yourself. And place them for free, or the costs of their first set of shots, and of course the BAT test you will do on your pups, to at least find out a premlim on liver health. with your first question being how much can i charge for these pups, I hope means that all your whelping questions are answered, you have a 24/7 emergency vet on hand to deal with the whelping, and a support system in place. Good luck and I hope your bitch survives and thrives as well as whatever puppies she has. |
This is what is really making me not like these forums anymore, so many people with negative comments, it seems everytime someone asks a question they get bombarded with rude comments (and these people don't even know the whole story so they have no right to bash) we are here to support one another not bash on people for making mistakes, no one here is perfect everyone is human and makes mistakes, everything happens for a reason. I really do wish you the best of luck I hope your babies are all healthy! (Dont start insulting someone especially if you don't know the whole situation) |
