Feel like I'm 6 years old and it's Christmas eve! Only 13 hours and 26 minutes until I get to pick up Tallulah. I am so beside myself with excitement, I don't know what to do. I actually tried to go to bed at 8:00 ( to catch up on some of the sleep I've missed the last few days because of a cough, I told myself) but I think it was just to make tomorrow get here sooner. I did schedule a busy morning including a visit to Yorkie Camp in Upland so I won't go crazy waiting. I'm so curious to see what kind of personality she will have. When I met her she was a little shy but not fearful, and a bit overshadowed by her rowdy sister. I'm hoping she will be a mommy's girl who will also love the rest of the family (just not quite as much as she does me). Is that selfish? Well, no matter what, I'm looking forward to taking good care of that little baby and showering her with all the love she needs. If only I could go to sleep... |
Very exciting time! I remember the waiting when I picked up mine, seemed like the day was never going to arrive. Good luck! And do try to get that rest you will need it, lol. And I don't think that is selfish at all :). |
Hehe, you might have her by now!!!! I knwo how you feel I am getting my wee Ruby as a little sister Robbo and a new baby for me and I do not pick her up until the 29th but Robbo and her had their first meeting and I had to try so hard not to scoop her up and take her then LOL! It is so weird just how exciting it all is! Wish you two all the best! Cannot wait to see some pics! |
It is such an exciting time!! Hope to see pics soon! :) |

kEEP ON RESTING AND THINK WONDERFUL THOUGHTS OF YOUR NEW BABY. I'M TELLING YOU YOU ARE GOING TO NEED YOUR REST. |
I just woke up after (FINALLY!) a good night's sleep. Only five hours and six minutes to go! Forgot to mention that the puppycam arrived from China yesterday so after I get home from visiting Yorkie Camp I'm going to work on setting it up. Is that good timing or what? |
I am excited for you!! Please share pictures asap! Congrats! |
Yay!! I can just imagine how excited you must be - I'm excited for you. :D |
Oh! I think we all know the feeling quite well.:D I know the 6-year-old feeling as well. I was the same way and you know what? Kacee still makes me feel that way on a daily basis. I think it is just something about yorkies that brings out the kid in us.:D I'm excited for you, too! |
I am so excited for you!! I know you have been waiting for her for a while now :) I will be thinking of you today! Can't wait to see pictures :) I want to get a puppy cam too, so let me know what you think of yours. |
Congratulations on your new "baby". I can hardly wait to see photos of her. What is this "puppy cam"? I would love to get one of those also. |

WELL?!?!?!? Do you have her yet? :D |
I am very excited for you! What anticipation this must have been! When I got Annie, I had not planned on getting another any time soon. But I had told my breeder friend/mentor what I would want when I did get a little girl. She called to tell me she had exactly what I wanted. AND SHE DID! So, I had no time to build the excitement it was just 0-90 mph all at once. :) Looking forward to lots of pics of your little girl! Ours can sort of grow up together on YT! |
I am sooo excited for you!!! cant wait to see what her little personality s like too!!! :) |
I think the anticipation is killing all of us!!! :D Peggy, Monkey & Maddie :daisy: |
I was hoping to come home to pictures... I bet you're spending time with her :) Post pictures asap!! |
Well!!! We are waiting!!!! :D |
Wow, it has been a BIIIIIGGGGGG day! This morning I visited Yorkie Camp. This wonderful couple in Upland who have five Yorkies of their own, including several rescues, have a little bungalow on their property with an enclosed, canopied yard. They provide day care and boarding to Yorkies only. When I visited, there were five little visitors there -- all adorable and all getting along so well. I'm going to have Tallulah go there for day care once or twice a week, as soon as her doctor clears her to be with other dogs. Then went out to pick up Tallulah. Cindy took an hour to go over Tallulah's records and instructions for her care. We came home with a bag full of her food, a blanky, Nutrical, her favorite toy, and other goodies. While I was there I met a sweet little baby called Natalie and took some pictures for her future mommy. It was not an easy ride for little Talllulah. She didn't make a peep the whole way home, but threw up at some point, and when I took her out of her container, the poor baby was soaking wet and covered with bits of food. We had a little clean up time, then I tried to put her down for a nap in her playpen. She wasn't having any of that, so we sat and watched TV together for an hour. Then she took a little nap in her playpen. We just spent an hour exploring the yard where she got her first introduction to neat stuff like grass and concrete. We played a little fetch -- she has the concept of running after the ball but she's a little fuzzy on the bringing it back part. And now she's chowing down on her dinner while I take a breather. Wouldn't you know it -- after following the near-tragedy of Poppy and the wasp, and thinking that was one thing I wouldn't have to worry about - she found a dead wasp in the back yard! I haven't seen a wasp around her in years. I got her away from it quickly, but I guess that's another thing I'm going to have to watch for. Pictures and videos to follow next time Tallulah takes a nap. |
I'm so excited for you! I bet you are head-over-heels in love with her! I can't wait to see pictures! |
I'm so glad she's home with you. Now you can look at her all you want.:D |
Yay she's home! I bet she'll have plenty to explore just inside the house. And you'll need to get some rest because wait until you see how much energy these little ones take out of you! Good luck this evening with her. |
Yes- there's lots to explore inside. We just spent an HOUR smelling every inch of the living room carpet which is over 100 years old and has been walked on (and worse) by at least a dozen family dogs. Even though I cleaned it and no spots showed up under the black light, it apparently is full of fascinating scents that dogs can smell. I'm already exhausted and ready to go to bed. I have a feeling it's going to be a long night. BTW - George is doing a masterful job of pretending that she's not here. Wonder when he's going to break down and play with her? |
SO happy your baby is finally home. Tell George to just give into the furbaby now...he will soon be under her spell and smitten like the rest of us!! Hope your little one lets you sleep tonight...but ummm...i doubt it will happen LoL |
I am so happy for you. Can't wait to see pictures . I will never forget the day we brought Daisy home. |
