Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | I know I'm crazy!!!! I read all about people getting new puppies, and I am sooooo happy for them. All I can think about is that my oldest baby is now 9 years old. He is 3.3 lbs and in good health. I worry so much about how much longer I will have him!!! If he gets the least little problem, like right now he has a little diarrhea...I worry to death. What will I do when I loose him? I don't think I will survive. Help!

| Oh, boy! You aren't alone. So don't think you're crazy. As they get older, it is something we all think about - I'd be willing to bet on that!

Poppy's Mamma ♥ Donating Member | I have a schnauzer cross who is 13 years old! I dread the day she leaves us but you just have to make the most of the time you have. Also my BFs sister in law had a yorkie that lived to be 20 years old!!

| You're not alone. I have 4 dogs the oldest being two Bassets that are 15 months old a Shorkie who is 11 months old and a Yorkie who is 6 months old and when I read all the posting of things that can happen, I get really upset. I give my dogs vitimins and the best food I can. I guess the rest is in God's hands. I had a dog that was almost 20 years old when he died. I also had a beagle that only lived until 13. I going to love them and enjoy them as long as they're with me. |

| I let the thought of losing Bentley in my head from the day I got him. I won't let that thought in again. I would be devastated because I love him so much. But like the others have said we all need to enjoy our furkids in the now. We do what we can to keep them healthy and the rest is in God's hands. Nine is young for Yorkies...give him a hug for me. | We are mortals. Our family, friends, neighbors and puppies will all parish some day. It's important to accept our mortality but not dwell on it, it can be a bad trip. "Live each day as if it were your last", my mother always said. Enjoy your pets and give them the best time of their life. If you're doing this then you should find great comfort through your efforts. You're not crazy, you're just thinking about it the wrong way. Don |
