Men and Yorkies?! 1 Attachment(s) Do any of you have boyfriends, husbands, or just guy friends that love yorkies!? I have a very typical man of a boyfriend. He is into big dogs, but since we have been together and living together, him and Fiona are the cutest things ever! FIona has really grown to love him, and I think Jeff has grown to love her too. I just looked over, and Fiona is all cuddled up with Jeff, it makes my heart melt! |
My husband loves our two yorkies. He resisted getting them for years because he thought they were too "fru fru". But now he says he wishes we had them sooner. My little Scarlett is a definite daddy's girl- the second he sits down, she is all over him. |
awe, that is so cool! Fiona literally neglects me when Jeff gets home from work! He never liked small dogs, until Fiona came into his life! :thumbup: |
Poppy has just been sitting on my BFs stomach kissing his face to death, he pretends he's not that bothered about her but I know he's madly in love with her really. :D |

Morgan is all over my boyfriend and Dad whenever they are around. My BF grew up around Yorkies and was the biggest cheerleader for me to bite the bullet and get one (he's a carpenter and a big guy, totally melts for yorkie kisses). My dad grew up around lab sized mutts, he's determined Morgan is the smartest and cutest dog he's ever met. He even borrowed my YT book to read up on the breed.:rolleyes: IMO once the tough guys spend some time with Yorkies they realize the awesomeness of the breed |

My husband loves our yorkies. He calls Pixie HIS perfect Pixie. I didn't know how he would be when I brought Nikki in and he treats him just like my others. He is always picking one of them up to love on. |
Same here! I love to see how DH and Melanie love each other! He never had a dog before and didn't like the idea of having one. Now he is all about HIS little Melanie. He changes her water ALL the time, takes her out, and is her advocate when she's begging at the table... plus even thou he is a mama's girl when in bed she cuddles with him... I guess I move too much for her taste... LOL |
My dh has definitely been won over by Tinkerbell. He always told me no dogs in our bed, but guess what? Tink now sleeps with us every night and first thing in the morning he gets up and takes her out and enjoys playing with her... These Yorkies have special powers... |

Oh Gosh, Bruce adores the Yorkies. He is a big old softie when it comes to dogs. Lil Bit especially is never away from his side. |
my boyfriend was a previous owner of big dogs. before he got me Hazel he kept trying to talk me out of getting her. His sister has a boy yorkie who is CRAZY. LOL. so he was basing his opinions off of bear bear. But him and Hazel have a "special bond" he tries to act like he doesn't lov eher to pieces, but i'll walkin into a room and those two will be cuddled, or he'll be getting kisses or givin tummy rubs! when he comes over everyday, she waits my the door for him, and once she sees him, and i open the door, she takes off for him. its the cutest thing. |
My soon to be ex-hubby LOVES our yorkies...especially Sweet Sophie. He said he'll do anything for me but if I try to deny him visitation he'll lawyer up and we'll have a big custody battle on our hands! LOL! |

when I told my current BF I have a Yorkie he told me how much he can't stand little dogs because they're all nippy, biting, peeing pains in the behind. Well now he has changed his tune. He still fixes my car, rewires my bedroom ceiling fan, and does all his other "manly" things, but he loves letting Dolly lick his face, playing fetch and cuddling on the couch with her. He comes in the door and first thing he says is "Where is my little girl?" Meaning Dolly, not me! He doesn't even give me a kiss until after she's done licking him all over his face and neck! The only thing he doesn't like is I insist all her leashes, harnesses, clothes, etc are pink and he says he feels silly in public with her, but it's never stopped him from always wanting to be the one walking her! So yeah, men and Yorkies are great! |

My teen-ager loves our Lucy; she snuggles up with him. BUT, he still refuses to be seen walking her in public! Guess he's not quite ready for that. |

All I can say is that my hubby has been known bring Maggie to her vet appointment in her pink princess sweater for me when I couldn't leave work and he dresses and walks them both in the wintertime for me sometimes in the mornings when I'm running late. |
My husband grew up in a house full of dogs. His mom would breed yorkies, and he just thinks that they have the best personalities... and I couldn't agree more!!!:D and my husband is a typical man: hard working, rough, likes to hunt and camp. So it is very adorable to see him interact with them! |

When we got married, my husband didn't believe in inside dogs! This year we got Copper (married 33 years), yeah took a while. Charlie loves him though and was even ok when I took Copper on vacation this year. My dad babysat Copper for 5 days when we went to a family reunion in Montana. He fell in love with Copper. When we returned, my dad had created a tiny picute album of Copper's vacation at grampa's complete with humorous captions! Love it! |
All of my husband's single friends want to babysit my little guy because he's a "chick magnet" .... LOL |

My boyfriend absolutely adores Levi and has no problem at all being seen in public with him. He takes him out in the morning, takes him to the pet store or the park...and they are just so darn adorable together! |
Paul LOVES Izzy... My hubby is a police officer and all the guys razz him at work when I put pictures of izzy on his page.. He could care less..he would even take her to work if he could :) She sleeps with us at night to keep her warm.. She's our baby :thumbup::aimeeyork |
My BF made me swear up and down when we bought Kasha that she would be "my" dog. He didn't think he could love her. Took him about 2 weeks to cave & now it's normal for him to baby talk to her & proudly push her stroller when we take her for walks. There's something about those Yorkies! |
