Alicia, you are my hero! What a nice story to open with on a sunday morning. I would ask your vet about neutering. The vet would need to do a full blood panel and if he is going to be neutered you may want to get his teeth cleaned. Please keep sending us pictures of this little man. Bless you....Lissette |
Rescue for Teddy Who in the world can be this mean to a helpless yorkie or any animal. My heart is broken looking at his pictures and reading about him.He will soon come around and know how much you love him. Bless your heart for caring for this baby. I had two little dogs that became blind from diabetes and they did fine, the vet told me their eyes aren't as important as there smell. God luck and please keep us posted on Teddy's progress. |
I just read this post and you are truly an angel for taking care of this precious baby. He must be feeling so secure in your loving care. Thank you for sharing your story. I hope he keeps doing so well. |
Love the updated picture - he already looks so happy!! Keep up the good work. Can't wait to read his updates to see how well he's doing. |
so glad to hear he is doing better. The pic is great |
Ditto, God Bless You, keep us posted how it turns out. |
Anything new on little Teddy? |
Alicia, yes, where are you? I'd love to see new pics of Teddy and hear how he's coming along. Please keep us posted! :) |
We are all wondering how your little one is doing. |
4 Attachment(s) Hi everyone sorry i haven't posted for a while. I'm back at school and between that and a million other things I have been busy, busy, busy! Teddy is feeling much better! He is a feisty little guy! He loves to play and run around! He runs pretty good for having LP in both legs. He is eating and drinking good and has put more weight on. He loves to be on my lap when not running around. The only problem I am having is he absolutely doesn't like my daughter(4) and son(6). He growls and tries to bite them and it hasn't gotten any better just worse. So I don't know what i'm going to do about that. Celstu1, Christina sent him a couple sweatshirts to help keep him warm. Thanks!!! Anything under 70 deg or so he is shivering like mad. The first 2 pics are in his new shirts and the 3rd is his sock sweater and hat, the 4th one he wasn't having it and threw the hat right off! I'll post more when I can. Oh, he looks SO good!!! Just love the pics...especially the last one. How adorable!! :D Thank you for taking such wonderful care of that sweet little guy...and thank you for the update and pics!!! :) |
Oh, bless his little heart. I suppose he isn't used to children. They have to be very gentle with him. He looks so sweet in his clothes. Has he gained any weight? |
He looks terrific! What a doll baby! You are surely his angel. Could you try to teach your children to quietly and slowly approach him with a treat and see if he will accept it from them? If he does, maybe you could keep working with the treats to get Teddy to see the children more favorably? I really think the quietly and slowly is key. And only when you can supervise. If that doesn't work, get the kids their own yorkie puppy! :D :D |
He is so cute! God bless you for taking him in, he looks so cute in those clothes:D |

His winky appears around you because he loves you! He's growling at your children because he wants you for himself... he's guarding/protecting you. Sounds like he may need some discipline. If he's on your lap when he does this, firmly tell him 'No' and put him gently on the floor. When the attitude stops, you can pick him up and put him on your lap again. Don't let him initiate being on your lap, you need to control that decision. Eventually he'll learn he has to behave and accept the children in order for him to have lap time. Good Luck, and Bless you for helping him.... |
