I put bows in Duke's hair all the time!! ;) Why cant they be fashionable too! |
There shouldn't be any discussion! I believe a top-knot is part of the standard! |
My boys are the only ones that will leave them in. The girls rub theirs heads against the couch until they get them out! |

I was just talking to my friend the other day about putting a bow in Zach's hair. She said the same thing your neighbor did. Zach's hair is getting very long in the front and he looks like a scale model english sheep dog. Where do you get bows for dogs. I don't want to put a regular hair band because I don't want to break his hair. I know I've seen some dogs with bows that have clips on them instead of bands. (so you know who won that argument). |
That comment was very rude...unbelievable. I don't put bows in Prince's hair, but I don't judge people who do. |

I just ordered some bows for boys on the internet but I had clips put on them instead of bands. |
I have not yet put a bow on Chance, and may never. I don't prefer bows on my boy. I do however just use an elastic band. I have no problems with folks who choose to do so, and would never make such and awful comment to someone like that about their precious baby!! |
I'm letting Teeg's hair grow longish, but the top of his head I keep short. When he was little it looked like my dad's hair. My dad died suddenly, shortly after I got Teegy and I decided I was keeping that little patch like "Gilly's hair" for fond memories. So no bows for Teegy and I'd tell your neighbour, yeah your husband loves it when Andy humps his leg. |
It's not something I personally do or would do, but for one, Jackson wouldn't tolerate a bow, and two, I'm not a girly-girl anyways so I just don't have a desire to do it. lol. I put him in bandanas and collars. But I would never judge someone for putting a bow in their boy dogs hair... it's not that big of a deal and unless it's causing them physical pain... who cares what people think??? |
That was rude! The child in me says "get her back"! Maybe make a comment about her appearance (Oh, I see you're eating a candybar, I guess you're ok with your weight). The grownup says just ignore her. Either way, I think it's adorable when they have bows in their hair and I enjoy doing my dogs hair (bow and all). |

Susan is a member here and she gives a discount to Yorkie Talk members. Click on this thread, there is the discount code and a link to her website. Oh, and you still need to put a band in the hair. Susan sells those bands as well. And you can select an alligator clip (which I prefer) or a barrette instead of the bands to put the bows in. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...giveaways.html |
Bailee wears bows, but now always. I order them from Bowbiz. He has boy bows ~ a couple with cars, a football and a train. I tell people that the bows come with the territory. A Yorkie is born to wear bows. :D |
