| A few questions First of all, we lost our YT Angus (age 14 1/2) on Aug. 11th. We have had YT for the past 30+ years and it's been awhile since I've looked for another puppy. Even though we've always had "pet" dogs, I was always under the understanding it was a "no no" to crossbreed. Since searching around, I've found kennels that are breeding Cross Puppies, Yorkie Poos, Yorkie chons Yorkie/Westies etc.etc. What is that all about ??? What is your honest opinon regarding these cross bred dogs if you are looking simply for a "pet" dog (although they don't come cheap !!!!!) Cld this fall into the puppy mill catagory ?? My 2nd question, I'm now on the wrong side of 65, my husband being 71 !!! I'm concerned that if we buy a puppy, a puppy cld outlive us. Sld we consider a rescue Yorkie ?? Perhaps an older retired stud dog ???? This is a concern that is troubling us seeing most of our YT have reached 14 and beyond. I really appreciate your advice .... thx. in advance. |
