I really want to be able to put bows in Fynn's hair to keep it out of his eyes. I really do. But, here's my issue - he's a little terror. I can not get him to sit still! He fidgets, he tosses his head, he tries to bite and eat the bow, he bites at my hands, he squirms and wiggles and wriggles and writhes.

How, in the name of all that is good and calm, do you get the stupid bows in their hair?

I thank you, in advance, for any and all advice!

HI!!! all i can tell you is what i've experienced with my puppy Hazel. i know if she wants i bow out, she will get it out. it may mean that it [the bow] is too tight. try loosening it up so that its less noticeable to him. Hazel wiggled at first too, and sometimes still does. be very adamant; put bows in everyday so that they get used to it. form what i was told, they need bow training. the more you do it, the easier it will get, just as everything else with these little cuties! Hazel sits very still now when i put bows in her hair. i got her at 8 weeks, and shes 13 weeks now. i hope i helped!

Wrap him up in a towel and put him on your lap then put the bow in. You wont havve to do that after a while he will get used to it. That works for brushing too

Fynnlie is only a baby. You have to be patient with him.

I'll have to try that but... He just won't stay still. He just won't. He's a little devil. He's not even still when he's sleeping!

i definitely had to start off using this method... i guess it helped because she is a modeled citizen when it comes to bow time now =]

I wrap him in the towel after I get him out of the tub and and brushing him out. He squirms and bites the towel and tries to bite the brush.

I sit on the floor and put Mocha between my knees to keep him still. After a while he learned to be still. He signs a lot because with a dumb mommy like me, he has to be patient or else it will take a long time with all the re-do's. He learned to be still so I can be faster :D

I'll have to try that, but then Tugger - my Maine Coon - will come over and be like, "Hey... Brat's in time-out! SWEET!"

I have found it to be easier to put bows in Bellas hair when I put her on my vanity. No room to move. After I put the bow in, she gets a treat. I always go for the tummy.
