Can anybody help? A puppy mill bust in Florida 20 yorkies rescued but they need help. One of my friends on another fourm posted this so I thought I would post her post here to see if anyone has any thing to spare. Here is her post..... The group I do rescue with got 20 yorkies in yesterday from a puppy mill raid and seizure. The dogs are in rough shape and will need a lot of care and socializing. they have lived their entire lives in cages. I will find out at noon today if we will take in even more dogs from a second seizure over the weekend. Those dogs are heavily matted and will all need to be shaved down. I am waiting for the call to take my grooming gear to the vets and start the shave downs. But with this many dogs arriving in bad shape, our little group is cash strapped and could use some help for the vet care. If you can spare even 5 bucks it would ad up and help us with this deluge of neglected and abused "live stock" Florida Little Dog Rescue - Home there is also a link to our face book page on the web site, and there are more pictures on facebook |
I saw this today on their facebook link. I can't believe the pictures! For anyone that's wondering, this is a reputable rescue group by the way, my sister adopted one of her dogs from them. This link will take you directly to the pictures of the yorkies http://www.floridalittledogrescue.com/puppymill_ |
This is just so heartbreaking. |
I must be crazy:D I filled out an application to foster. Hope they accept me. I have fostered dachsies in the past - and usually ended up adopting. |
:):):):) Thanks I hope they do too!!!! |

I have told them that we are going on a cruise the end of October for a week, so it needs to be a short term foster care before that. But when we get back we would like to be considered for long term foster care. Bruce, my husband, said "You know, it won't be a foster for long, as we won't want to part with it" LOL. The dachsies were all supposed to be rescues. But we ended up adopting them - but other than Ginger, they were all seniors when we got them. Ginger had a club foot which is why we took her in the first place, she was adopted from the first as we didn't think she would get a forever home. When we got Beamer I had checked the shelters for a rescue, but they only had pit bulls, and the local Yorkie rescue group didn't have any in their care at the time. But I am glad I bought Beamer.:) |
I just got an e-mail from a Laurie Johnson, she said she got my app and would be in touch soon:) |
Terrible! Since I can't foster, I be making donation:D |

I know they will be happy to have you as a foster mom! I hope they get a lot of response and all these poor babies have a chance to live the rest of their lives like our babies. |
And I also posted a link to the website in the puppy mill bill thread so those who have had any doubts about signing the petition can look at the pictures on the website. Those pics of the little ones will just break your heart.:( |
It would be nice to know the name of the breeder and puppymill (what they would call a kennel name) so that anyone who got a puppy from this place could see what the conditions were like for the parents and puppies. It really is despicable that dogs have to live like that. |
Bless all that rescue. Those pictures are so sad but hopefully those babies are on their way to a great loved life. |
