Make sure the beach you are taking her allows dogs. I made that mistake before and had to drive for hours before finding a beach that allows pets. The next is do your research and find restaurants that have outside seating that allow pets. Don't try to do that at the last minute. She will be fine as long as you keep her shaded. If you have a ice chest, bring ice cubes for her to munch on. Mocha loves that. Spray bottle is great too, especially those with very fine mist so you don't get her too wet. |

I live at the beach and most beach do not allow dogs and people can be crazy about turning you in. Even with a cutie pie!!! I take Mack out to a sandbar to run on the beach almost every day. Make sure you pack some skin so soft or bug spray in case the flies or noseeums are bad. Make sure you pack a few extra towels. Make loves to run in the water, but he can catch a chill quickly so I always make sure I have towels ready to swaddle him. If it is very hot out make sure that his paws are protected. He can burn them in the hot sand. Have fun!!! |
Hatteras beaches allow pets. |
From what I remember, most of the OBX is pretty dog-friendly. There might be a few little rules, but Khloe should be allowed to go with you. I'm sure she will have a great time! |
