Anyone have a Harness they like? So I am having an issue with Taycie's Harness, while we are out walking sometimes she runs and pull on her leash and she acts like harness is making her choke.. and I don't want her to do this because I am worried about collapsed trachea! So anyone found a harness that they loved? I am not sure if its not fitting her properly so I am wondering if that is causing the problem.. I know its not to tight but I have never found one that I loved..Any great finds? |
Sorry you are having problems with your harness! I use this leather step-in harness and LOVE it! It slides on around their legs and chest, doesn't touch their neck at all. Mine do great with it and it is even gentle on the hair too! This is the skull one. Lil Pals Hi, I have a harness that works great with Kelsey. Its by Lil Pals and I purchased it at Superpetz but they also sell them at Petco. Its a step in harness with two D rings to fasten the leash onto. It works good and was only 7.99.:D |
I have harnesses made by Chattiesmom she is a member here. Her harnesses are great and really easy on the hair. They do not touch the throat at all, they are step in harnesses as well. You can pick the colors you want, and the workmanship is awesome. I highly recommend them. |
ChokeFree Sizes By Breed I had the same problem with Max. I find that this harness sits low enough that it doesn't bother his airway while walking. It's a little more expensive that what you may find at the pet store, but well worth the money. |
Miloh wears the Cesar Millan harness (purchased at PetCo) & I have no problems to report. They're a big pricy ($15) but very gentle on him. It's almost as he's not wearing a harness. |
I love the buddy belt harness. Its kinda expensive but it was very much worth it. Buddy Belt Fancy Edition Leather Dog Harness |
This is the one I use for Piper- Ultra Non-Choking Dog Harness- Flame Scarlett Red It is my favorite so far and I've tried many. |

:thumbup::thumbup: I love the one she made for us :) |
I'm going to order one from Chattiesmom as soon as we get situated in our new home. Lucy has a harness now that has a reflective quality to it ~ BUT all of the harnesses so far seem to tangle her hair. We don't need any more mats! |

My favorite by far is the Puppia harness. |

We have two that I love. One is a reflective step-in harness, the other is a Bessie and Barnie mesh harness. I love the step-in because it doesn't go around Levi's neck. The mesh harness does, but it is soft and he doesn't act like he has problems with it being around his neck! |
I found the choke free step-in harness. It is more expensive but it works great. I looked at the pictures and I have the gold colored one for Zoey. She HATED the over the head harnesses and it was a battle getting her into one. Cherie |
I've been using the Buddy Belt harnesses as well. I love them. Mica is a real puller and this has helped tremendously breaking her of this habit. I agree they are pricey but are made so well I doubt I'd ever need to replace the ones I've bought. :) |
Last year I purchased a no-pull harness at Wal-Mart for Neo (who might have sled dog genes in him, lol!). It was only about $10 and work great. Got Connor one also, except this one has a stretchy mesh on the chest area. Both harnesses have padded sherpa-like leg straps for comfort. For the price and durability, these are great! Look for them in the collar and leash section. They come in a clear plastic package. |
I love the harness I got from T.Bumpkins & Co, (YT member), bought the belly band and Cathy made a harness to match, I just had to send her Beamer's measurements.:) |
2 Attachment(s) I bought a puppia one off of ebay, and works great it was about $24.00 so not expensive at all, and it looks great on him. picture below of him wearing it. |
