| more puppy =/ advice please. after buying my baby bonnie one of my friends fell in love with he r. of corse this lead to her wanting a babygirl yorkie for herself. well this summer she purchased her from a petshop in out area after me telling her not to because they are most likely from puppy mills. well the owner won her over . and got her to leave with the most adorable babygirl . now few days later the pupppyy got really sick . and of corse i had a feeling from her symptoms i thought of parvo and had a feeling thats what she had. well my friend took her to the vet of corse i was right they began treatment. but the bill was already 1500 dollars and my friend couldnt pay more than that so she took her out the vet . the puppy was most def doing much better. she kept her on the proper diet advised from the vet . but she still takes her out into the street alll the time . and now they are flying to the dominican republic for vacation and she is only 10 weeks now. advise im scared she is gonna get sick i need a way to sit my friend down to explain to her a puppy isnt something to take lightly it is a huge responsibility and she just doesnt get that yet. |

| wow, I am sorry that your friend just isn't getting it. Unfortunately, all you can do is keep trying to get your friend to "hear" you. I don't know anything about flying dogs to other countries but would I would think that the airline would require a health certificate from a vet-which I would think costs money (?). Not even sure if she would be able to bring the dog to another country without all of it's shots either, but don't know for sure. Maybe if you could get her to joing the forum and read up on some of the stickies about health care she might start to realize what is involved with taking care of one of these precious babies. Good luck to you, and the puppy.

Poppy's Mamma ♥ Donating Member | Does your friend realise that her puppy could actually die? Thats so sad Unfortunatley all you can do is keep telling her what she has already been told, you would think after the pup caught parvo she would be more careful.

| Sad situation. A 10 week old should still be with her mommy...but that's the least of the problems here. Unfortunately, all you can do is voice your concerns & perhaps try to educate her a little. I feel bad for this little pup. So young & already going through so much.

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | She may not be able to take the dog to the DR- at 10 weeks, the pup is too young to be vaccinated against rabies, and that is one of the requirements for travel there. Bringing Animals to Dominican Republic by Hispaniola.com
