I checked on him numerous times overnight and he still seems fine this morning. I feel so fortunate. |
Wow, I'm glad everything turned out okay.:) My in-laws have recliners built into their sofa, I ALWAYS get freaked when we go there and Dad reclines, that is the first place Dudley runs to:eek:, checking for crumbs of any kind:rolleyes:. I'm always on my toes when we are there with him and so are my in laws;) |
OMG! I was scared to read the entire post but thank goodness he is ok! You must have been scared to death! |
So glad your baby is ok - and what great thinking on your part with the Dawn!! |

Both of these are absolutely heartbreaking stories.:( |
Oh my goodness!! Glad to hear he is okay.. thanks for the warning! I don't own a recliner and don't think I will because of this. |
I also glad he is ok, love that face, hehe, travieso= like a trouble maker, so cute:p |
We do the head count too. We have 2 recliners plus my couch reclines. Dudley was at one time pretty bad about getting under the front part of the chair. Like I said we just do head count before we get up. I think its like their own little cave or somewhere they can get private. I don't know what makes them want to get under there. Scary as heck. Something else to watch for too is if you have a storm door. My husband came in and unknowing closed Dudley between the storm door and wood door. Thats how tiny he was at the time. He started barking thank goodness because who would ever think of them getting there... Glad your baby is okay. I can imagine how upsetting that would have been. |
I am so glad to hear he is o.k. I will never get a recliner for this reason. |
Glad he is ok. I had a kitten get caught in a recliner once. Scared me to death. We talked about getting a recliner once. I sd we will always have dogs in the house so no recliners. I refuse to have them in the house. |
MUsic city mom WHy now is Brooklynn obsessed with entering the recliner couch from the back. She is so small that she goes behind the couch and now she can lift the velcro part and go totally in it. I have tried everything to stop her but she is doing it all the time. I dont have company over and i wont allow anyone to open them but i just want her to stop doing it. HELP ME PLEASE! ( she discover it a week ago when we turn on the vacuum cleaner and she was super scared) |
Put a pillow underneath/shoved under/behind your recliner. If you can't do it to your couch/loveseat, block the puppy from getting back there. I shoved the small pillows from the couch between the wall and the couch and loveseat so the puppy couldn't get back behind them. It's not attractive, but it works! |
Thanx baby yorkie im doing it tonight |
