Some breeders are going to charge whatever people are willing to pay |

But then again the owner knows he/she has a champion:) |
They are only worth 8500 or 9000 if someone is willing to pay. And you know the line, "there's a sucker born every minute." |
Then call me sucker, because I would pay that if that person was the best, had the best, and I wanted it. Sure it is a lot of money, but not as much money as you may wind up putting into your dog down the road. Let's just say that Carlo's medical bills so far total enough for me to have paid cash for a new Harley VROD, and we are no where done. Maxine has had 2 bouts of Pancreatitis, Dentals, etc. Special food, it adds up. There are great dogs out there that can be had for free....Price of the dog from a reputable breeder should be the last of your concern. |
Steve Your avatars just crack me up! thanks for the laughs:D |
Mom, glad you can laugh and enjoy a bit of old Marine Humor. This Avatar is from the ceiling of my 2nd Floor office. I decided to check out something in the attic, and slipped. My leg with thru the Drywall and I landed on the 2x12 joist.....OUCH to say the least and I was no walking very straight for a few days! Naturally, I am now forbidden to go up there! :( |

My husband had 22.1/2 years in the USAF, he's been retired over 20 years now though. |
Thank you Mom. Sounds as if your husband is a young guy like me! |

I would much rather refund a deposit than force someone into a taking a puppy or lose their money. Things happen and life changes without notice. |

I was very intrigued by all that I read. When I first thought that a Yorkie might be for me I based my decision on personal interaction with the ones I knew. The future had other plans for me and I went into the Navy. :) Now years later I decided to revisit that dream. This time I went at it eyes wide open. I have 4 different books on Yorkies and their care, a Home Veternaery guide and had my account on here about 3 months before I even picked my little one from the breeder. I know that they have a long life span and I wanted to make sure that it was the right match for me. I will keep these little ones (I got 2) until they pass away. Unless we meet with huge financial issues that cause me not to be able to provide for them. I think everyone should solidly research whatever breed they pick to make sure that they completely are aware of all that might be coming their way. |
Thats a CRAZZY price to pay! I dont agree with smaller yorkies being more expensive altho some breeders do this as they know smaller breeds are in demand, and alot of people who dont do research do think the smaller the better... shame :( Maybe we should send her an email with the link to this thread, maybe she will wake up and realise that selling puppies for that price is terrible and she should be ashamed of herself for selling puppies that small!!! |

The People who buy these puppies will NEED to have money, Just look at the eyes of those puppies, Not correct. You can see there are problems and too bad for the new owners they will not live very long. Did anyone notice the health guarantee for one year against most gentic problems! SparklingBluyorkies.com |
Carlo is 135 pounds. If gold is $1200 an ounce, Carlo's weight in gold will be $2,592,000 |

I noticed the eyes and they look really really small she hasn't posted any weight or age information on her breeding dogs, $500 non refundable deposit, c'est terrible |

i might be the only one here, but i hate the apple head/ "doll face"/"teddy bear" faced dogs. they don't look good to me and i prefer the longer snout and the normal shaped heads on my dogs thank you!! |

I've had an IG who was treated with chemo, for t-type lymphoma (most agressive form) for two years, so I know what the cost of treating cancer in a dog is like. I've got a dog now with severe mitral valve prolapse. Her rechecks are more than $400 a pop, and an episode where she had to stay in the oxygen cage overnight due to fluid build up in her lungs was another hefty cost. Then there was the mast cell tumor she had removed and the dental she had. I have another 15 yr old with IBD, which required an endoscopy to diagnose. I've paid for six ultrasounds, seven chest xrays and I don't know how much lab work for dogs this year alone. Oh and I have a cushings dog that was diagnosed this year. Paying for astronomical vet bills in geriatric dogs I love is different than purchasing a dog for an astronomical amount. |
With a price like that....the puppy should be guaranteed to live for 30 years without any health problems whatsoever. |
I just looked at her site. How does she go from $1,500 a puppy to $8,500? Don't the tiny ones have a shorter lifespan? That is just crazy. |
