It worked!!!! I bought a tiny Kong toy and put a little peanut butter in it and let her put her head through the harness to get to it. She was totally fine with the harness!!! Y'all are amazing. I think the harness is too big, though. I bought the extra-small, but I think I'll need an extra-extra small. Thank you to everyone for your advice! :) I can't wait to walk her. (She has had her Parvo shot) :) |
Has she had all of her shots? Just b/c she's had one shot(or round of shots) doesn't mean she's fully protected. The recommendation is to wait 2 weeks after the last round of shots...so, I'd still be very cautious. How old is your baby? |
I see by your other posts your baby is 11-12 weeks old. She should still have at least 1 more set of shots to get. Obviously, it's your choice to take your baby out for a walk or not but if it were my puppy I'd err on the side of caution. I'm glad you found a harness that you like. I wish you luck with the harness training. |
Hey sweetie! I'm sorry, I should have clarified. I'm not planning to take her on walks outside until she has all her shots (she gets her next set on Aug 30th). Another member asked if she had Parvo yet, and I checked to see if she did. I'm going to try to "walk" her in my house first to make sure she gets used to being on the harness and leash. :) You are so sweet to be concerned and to correct me to make sure that i don't put my baby girl in danger!! Gia & I "heart" you! |

Practicing in the house is a great idea. Remember, lots of praise & treats! :D |
