Man oh man, that would get me so angry. But as the others have said, it will grow back. Next time choose a vets' kennel where they know what they are doing and things like this hopefully do not happen. Otherwise I am speechless, I would never go back there again. |
I tend to over react to things concerning my dogs and I'm pretty sure I would have been fuming when I first saw my dog, but I also think it's something that would be funny to me a month or so down the road.:) |
I am so sorry tihs happened to your baby. I would have been upset too. Thank goodness nothing else happened. |
thanks everyone.. for your respond and i agree it could of been worst.and yes my furbaby's hair will grow back.but if i was her i would had call my client to let her know what was going on. instead of taking matters into my own hands.and then saying kids will be kids she didn't even say sorry for her son actions.taking care of a furbaby is like taking care of a child you have to be responsible..but anyway's i wont be taking my furbbaby:aimeeyork to her anymore..thank's i appreciate everyone's responds.. |
I have an 8 year old daughter, and she KNOWS better than that. Thats some bad parenting skills going on if you ask me. I would be livid as well! |

When does it get better after 13? LOL.. |
If this happened, what else happened!!! I am so sorry something like this happened and I do understand why you would not want to trust anyone. Thanks Mary |
If you lived closer to me I would watch your puppy for free. I love taking care of dogs. I have a yorkie, a shorkie, and two basset hounds but no kids thank God. Actually you're a neighbor I love in long island. I would look for a dog sitter without young children although 8 year olds should know better unless their mother is a moron. I would have taken a sissor and cut the kid's hair and see how he likes going to school like a geek. |
well looking from the "parent" side of things.. yes the kid is 8 (almost an adult now..rolling eyes) and probably "should" of known better, but did you ever stop to think just alittle bit that maybe while he was petting the dog or whatever his gum accidently fell out of his mouth and he tried to get the gum out on his own, only making it worse??? Geez the kid is just a kid and he is only 8 and accidents do happen.. much worse could of happened. It is just hair and it will grow back. I do agree that she should of called you before she made him bald and I think its a great idea that you dont take your dog back there, maybe next time find a pet sitter without kids.. |

I guess it's true that he was just a kid and probably the mother made things worse by trying to take the gum out by herself, but I guess she probably panicked. It's just when it comes to my dogs I tend to be a bit over protective of them. The bottom line is as I said before, take the dog to someplace without young children if you can. |
