Hazel's Home ! ! ! Thank you to everyone that helped me out today. i really appreciate it :p ! ! ! my friend [also the breeder] brought both dogs to my house. I examined Hazel myself, and left this lump on her head. it was really scary. idk what that could be, it feels hard as a bone, otherwise its hard to describe. i was really scared for her. My friends grandmom offered to buy the dog, and take care of all the vet bills that shes knows this puppy will accumulate gettind checked out. Me on the other hand, took the other female puppy. And let me tell you, she is a sweetheart! i had only been around the first puppy alone. just me and my friend, and she was brought over to my house. with both puppies in front of me, the puppy i ended up choosing ran right up to me and started licking my toes and fingers. she jumped all over me, and i knew she was mine from that point on. she is adorable. as for everyone reminding me that my 8 week old puppy is too young to leave her mother, thank you. i was informed MANY times. i have made arrangements to keep her mother for the next couple of weeks as well. My puppy is is good hands. i must admit i am scared to walk her! shes had all of her shots, so its safe, but the mosquitoes FLOCKED her the second i took her out. so i brought her back in. form what i understand she is still a little young for flea and tick treatments. she goes to the vet next week so they'll figure all of that out. |
I don't think she is safe to go outside. At 8 weeks she can't possibly have had ALL her shots. Please be careful! Good luck to you!:) |

no walking yet? i was told it was ok to walk her. i didn't want to anyway, because of the mosquitoes, but still. |
Im glad everything worked out okay and you got a new baby. Best of luck |

No walking until she has had all her shots around 16 weeks. It's not safe for her until then! |
Awww... isn't it sweet how she picked you! |
I was told after Harley's 3rd shots he was ok to visit with vaccinated dogs, and after the fourth he was ok to do all. I guess it also depends on your area... I live in a huge high rise with lots of dogs, so I was told never to let him down in the elevator, and if he had to be transported to only go out with him in his purse. Once all of the vaccines were settled in I was told he could be in the elevators and stuff, but to this day, I'm still really careful. |
ok, i definitely NOT walking her, because i'm scared now, i will wait to see what the vet says. i am happy to report that she is using her puppy pads wonderfully! |

ok so now i have another question . . . i shouldn't take her outside AT ALL ? ? ? even to try to use the bathroom? |
Depends where you live and if you have a garden? I should think it would be ok to let her out in your enclosed garden but if u have to walk her in a public area to take her the bathroom then i wouldnt. Congratulations on your little girl :D I bet you are so happy :D xxx |
Congratulations on your new pup, did you call her Hazel too? or did you take the one with the thing on her head? Im confused. Also at 8 weeks she couldn't have had all of her shots as I understand in the USA they have 4 sets of shots? I would check that out before you take her outside. Congratulations again and welcome to YT. |
i do have a garden, but after what everyone else said i'm scared to even let her out there. and then theres the thing with the mosquitoes. i don't want them biting her because i know how much getting bitten irritates me. For now shes on the puppy pads. i will gradually move it closer to the door. i didn't not take the puppy with the lump on her head. The breeders grandmother offered to buy her, and pay for all of her vet expenses, so i just took the healthy puppy. and her name is Hazel. i loved the name sooo much, i kept it. |

Glad she is doing well though. Do you have anything from her vet which tells you which dates she had her shots? because she really shouldnt have had all of them by this age so you might have to take her for some. You could try taking her in the garden on her leash for now.. It will make sure she dosnt run off and will get her used to walking on a leash :) |

so its safe to take her out even without all of them because i'm confused now! and i do have a paper, but it looks like its in a different language:( |

I know what you mean this vet stuff is complicated sometimes. How many shots has she had? In England the pups only have 2 sets of shots and are allowed in the garden after their first shot. But you have to wait until they have had all of their shots before you can take them for a walk or out into a public place. Does it tell you how many she has had now? |

i really wish i could understand this paper so i could translate it to you... its not clear at all! |

Could you take a photo of it and post it on here so we could have a look and try and work things out for you? |

Wow they are so different to the records over here. We have a little card and they write the date they had the vacine then they stick the label from the vacine on with the batch number and expirey date then they will write when they are due the next injection. These are so complicated.. Have you called the vet and asked him to explain? Hopefully someone from the USA will be along soon and take a look at these, sorry I couldnt be of any furthur help they are just so different. I can see why your confused! |

Good luck with the little pup, you said the mom is with you? I bet that made for an easy transition for the puppy, as young as she is. |

Maybe look into mobile groomers in your area who could come groom her at home? |
