| 2days to go... My List! Hiya Everyone. Poppy Arrives home on Saturday now not Sunday so i am evern MORE excited!!!! Here is my list of things i have already got. If anyone can think of anything i have missed please let me know + Puppy Pads + PINK Food bowls + Puppy food + PINK Brush + PINK small collar + PINK Small Harness + PINK Lead + Sensitive Pet eye Wipes + Puppy Shampoo + PINK Pet Carrier (got it yesterday at Pets at Home) + Nuti Cal (it came today woop woop) + Lactol Milk + PINK Puppy Beanbag Pillow (it warms up in microwave to keep puppy warm) only slightly warm it wont burn the puppy + Blankets (4 of them in red and PINK hehe) The breeder has one blanket so she has her mum, borther and sisters smell on it when she comes home on her forst night. + PINK Towel to dry her after her baths + PINK Puppy Bed + Puppy Pen + 2 Puppy books to keep me right + Some PINK extra small bows (to get her use to wearing them) + Toys (lots and LOTS of toys) I have also made my appointment on Monday morning at the vets. I also have seen the puppy insurance i am going to get from PetPlan. I have taken Monday and Tuesday off work to spend with her to make sure shes ok the first few days in her new home. I dunno what else i can do? I took all your advise and as you can prob see from my list i went and bought a pet carrier to take her to the vets in etc. Its lovely and PINK hehe, i think she will feel happy in there (like a safe place) I also bought Nutri Cal altho it dont say on it how much i would need to give to her and when do i give it to her?? I have looked it up online and it just tells me what it does and now how much to give for a dog thats 10lb? What section on this forum should i be asking that question? I never knew how much puppys cost and i have not even got her home yet I am paying £500 for her which is alot more than the normal price around here but the breeder was really good and as you all told me to buy the breeder, i did lol so i dont mind paying the extra £200 But i must have spent at least £250 on getting everything i needed for when she arrives home. Then there is vet bills and insurance etc etc. I am very lucky i have the money to cover these costs and made sure of this before i even thought about getting a dog. If anyone reads this is thinking of getting a puppy make sure you cover ALL the costs not just the cost of getting the puppy. I admit i have gone a wee bit OTT when spending for Poppy but i couldnt help it haha!! Only 2more sleeps untill she comes home i am so excited! Please let me know if you can think of anything else i will need

| I think you are on top of the game! I'm so excited for you! My puppy comes home in NINE days! UGH! I'm soooooo excited! I've been looking through his stuff and trying to make a list, to think of stuff that I don't have, so on and so forth! Do you have a washable kennel bed? Something you can put in her kennel for her to sleep on that you can wash incase she has an accident? Do you have detangler and conditioner for her fur? I'm so excited for you!!! <3

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | Oh your excitement just shouts out from the page. Good for you. Okay dear Nutrical is for teeny weeny ones. 2-4 lbs. I doubt that you will need that. If your puppy is not BAT tested - Bile Acid Test book an appt with your vet to do that after 16wks old. I wish you lots of joy and happiness with your Poppy. Post pics when you get him home Quote:

| Nutrical is for little ones that get a sugar drop for whatever reason. How much does your little girl weigh. If your baby is little and ever gets a chill or acts lethargic and seems 'out of it', it may be due to a drop in her sugar levels. If that happen you just put a little bit of nutrical on your finger, like putting toothpaste on a brush and put it in her mouth. Wrap her up and rub her and she should perk up. Kind of like giving juice or candy to a diabetic that is having a hypoglycemic attack.

Poppy's Mamma ♥ Donating Member | Sounds like you have everything you need Take a lot of naps today because she will probably cry in the night for the first few days. I know when I first brought my Poppy home the first 3-4 nights she would wake up maybe 4 times a night just crying for a cuddle because she was missing her mammy.. I swear I was so tired I was like a zombie lol. It dosnt last long though just until they get used to there new home. VERY excited for you and cant wait to see pictures! How old is she again I forgot?

| Hiya rachel. I'm on yorkietalk on my phone, this is bad it means i'm never gonna be away from here lol. My poppy is 11weeks old the breeder told me cant wait to get her home. When your poppy cried during the night did you go see her or leave her to get used to it? Yes I thought i'd be walking around like a zombie the first few days so I took then off work, plus to be with her cant wait I get her tomorrow at 5.30 yay x X X

I know your not suposed to comfort them when they cry in the night but I couldnt help it, the sound of her crying really broke my heart so I just cuddled her for about 10-15 minutes then put her back in the crate. As the days went on she started to cry less and less in the night so even though I did cuddle her when she cried it didnt turn her into a serial winge lol. I then swapped the crate for a pen and she stopped crying in the night all together (that was about a week after I brought her home.)

Senior Yorkie Talker | I am so excited for you. Good luck with your new baby and I can't wait to see some pictures. I usually give mine Nutrical when they look run down or tired, especially when they were small babies. It works wonders. Congratulations! YorkieProud |

If you give it to her and she didn't need it, it won't hurt her. Giving her too much when not needed, however, is not healthy.
