Sounds like all you need is Poppy. |
That is one lucky pup to have a super prepared mom like you. :) Congrats and enjoy your little one! |
Wow! You are super prepared; what a lucky puppy she's going to be. I got a small travel carrier for Lucy but ended up not getting her the harness until after I brought her home. The breeder did send some of her food home; and a shot schedule and all her vet records for me to take to her vet. She also sent home a toy that had the scent of her littermates on it because she will be missing them that first night. Congratulations and enjoy! |
Awwe, I can feel your excitement :) It sounds like you are more prepared than a person adopting a human child. :) If you can't find nutri-cal there, then try ordering it online (make sure you get the puppy version)....or maybe one of us from YT in the states can pick some up for you and mail it asap :) |
Thanks i am going to google it and see if i can find it online :D I woke ip at 6am this morning really excited lol. I dont think i will get ANY sleep on saturday night lol xx |
YAY! Im very excited for you :) Sounds like you have nearly everything you need for Poppy's arrival. I think you should get her a carrier/crate to carry her in for vets visits though, I didnt get Poppy one and at the moment its difficult to take her places in the car as I always need someone with me to hold her while I drive.. so I have a carrier in the post from Ebay but you can buy a pretty pink one from Pets at Home. Pets at home told me the best food for my Poppy was Wainwrights so I have the wet and the dry versions of the chicken and rice and I am in the process of getting her onto dry only. Also about the puppy milk... I bought Poppy puppy milk when I first brought her home and noticed she drank all the milk but didnt eat any of her food so I think it was lying quite heavy on her stomach.. when she had her vets visit they told me I shouldnt be giving her milk at that age (6 weeks) because she has already been weaned off her mammys milk and it could give her the runs. So they told me just to give her water and I noticed her stools were much better and she started eating her dinner properly. I have a kitten harness from Pets at Home for Poppy as its the only one that will fit her (shes 10 weeks and just over 1 pound) so you could try one of those as I find the xsmall harnesses are still too big. Other then that sounds like you have everything sorted :) cant wait to see photos! |
OoOo Thanks Rachel i will have a look at pets at home for a Kitten harness and a create. OMG i am so excited i could burst. I defo got monday and tuesday off work next week so i will be home with her for the first few days, and then my OH is at home on the wednesday with her. I feel like i am taking maternity leave LOL :D :D :D xxx |
