4lbs... ...at 16 weeks. Think he's gonna be big? His parents are both 7lbs. Everyone thinks he's full grown when they see him, but he still has a lot of growing left to do (they grow until they're a year old, right?). I personally don't care how big he gets.... he's healthy and happy and that's all that matters to me. I just can't wait to see how he looks fulls grown, with his adult coat and everything. |
You never know with Yorkies. My Beau is 7 months and 8 lbs...both of his parents were under 7 lbs. I'm very thankful since he is so rowdy....and I don't have to worry about little bitty bones so much :-) |

Take it from me, I am fostering a 1 yr old & 9 pound Yorkie, Teddy:animal36Boo who suffered a fractured knee & hip to the same rear leg and ended up losing it leaving him with his new title...Tripod:heart toTeddy:animal36Boo. |

As for when he will be full grown, that again depends on a lot of factors and family history. Some slow down around a year, others not until 2. Others have periods of growth spurts interspersed with plateaus. I'm personally partial to the bigger guys myself :) |

Jackson was 6lbs at 12 weeks, 8.6lbs at 16 weeks, 12lbs until he was 1 year old, and now (he'll be 2 in October) he's 15lbs. :) |
Sophie Kate was 3 lbs at 16 weeks when I got her, she is now 2 years old and weights in a whooping 8lbs. She is very "sturdy" but as I am reminded often by her Vet she is still a small dog and needs all the attention and care required for a small dog. |
my lil one will be a year old on 8-16-2010 and she is still 3 pounds she looks big but the scales say 3 pounds she is all hair |
