Mabel usualy sleeps when i sleep...But i am a bit of a night owl myself! We go to bed around 1-2 am...Except the other night she put herself to bed around 9 pm. I went upstairs to get something and there she was sound asleep on my pillow! :) |
Bella is 4lbs. and will be 2 years in October. She naps at least 2 hours during the day and wants to go to bed no later than 9:30. When she rolls over on her back and whimpers she wants her tummy rubbed and then she wants to go to her crate to sleep. She gets up about 7:30 a.m. and potties and then often crawls back under the covers with us and sleeps until 9 or 9:30 a.m. She's in her crate for the nightime stretch. |
My two do what ever I do...If I'm up late, they'll lie on the floor and sleep. Then when I say "okay let's go to bed. They'll get up and come with me. In the morning they sleep in with me as long as I do. I think you can teach your baby to do what you want. If he/she wakes up too early..hold him/her back and say "go back to sleep" (mine sleep with me) Almost just like a child...only dogs seem to listen better ;) |
My little girl sleeps when the lights are turned off, even though she has taken a few naps on my lap through out the day she would still sleep once the lights are off. Also after 12 she sleeps on her own if the lights are on or off, like right now she is sleeping between my legs =) |
Mine pretty much bed down when it gets dark outside, even w/the lights on in the house...Same for getting up in the morning...Right at dawn, they are awake...I guess they pretty much follow nature's cycle for critters...Now if I go out, in the evening, and come home between 10-12, they'll get up and play for an hr. or so, because they've, totally, been asleep, while I'm gone... |
Jackson is not a night owl. I think it's all dependent on exercise, too. If he didn't get his daily walks, fetch, trick training, etc, he would probably be up a lot earlier. A dog that is under exercised is not gonna want to sleep as much as a tired dog would, of course. When he was a pup, he woke up every morning around 5-6am but by 6 months, he stopped that. Jackson typically will sleep starting around 9pm, but I'm up 'til around 11 every night. (or he will chew his bully stick). So around 11, I let him out again for the last time and usually he sleeps 'til 9am the next morning with me. This morning, I had to get up at 7:30 and he was sooo slow moving, hah! |
No nite owl here. Pistol goes to be with me generally between 9pm. and 10pm. sleeps all night. He will get up with my DH at 5:30 am. he goes out to pee, comes in and eats, goes back outside to poo. When I get up at 6am. he usually naps beside me on the couch till I drink my two cups of coffee. Once I am ready for work play time begins and we will play till I have to leave. |

WE will soon have our lil one 9 months when we first got her it was 4 to 4;30 am because the lady we got her from got up at that time to go to work then she started at 5 to 5;30 am but now it's really about 5:45 to 6:30 we have done everything and she just wants up that early so hubby don't care so that is why he gets up with her they go out and sit on the porch and he has his coffee and now the neighbor joins them he said that was his time with her because she is getting to be more of a mommy dog since being in heat wants to be near me all the time now where i am you sure will find her there |
Both of mine go to bed about 9 pm. My little one who is just two, gets up when we do, even if it is 2 or 3 am. She naps with us about 2 pm. The bigger and older one gets up about 9 am. That is unless we make her get up. She loves her bed! |
Sugar is not a night owl, a morning owl, or an afternoon owl.....all this girl does is sleep!I think she's narcoleptic :D |
