No Longer a Member | Learned a Hard Lesson Last night I decided to make tacos, (yum) and as I was putting away the hot sauce I spilled a drop on the floor. As I was reaching for the paper towels to clean it up I see a little blur run through my feet so I knew Rizzo was on the move. I turn around to clean up the spot and to my amazement it "cleaned itself up" Needless to say Rizzo has learned to not clean up everything that I spill. Poor guy, I think he licked everything in the house, including the cat! to try to get rid of the hotness. But after a few minutes he stopped drank some water and was back to his happy puppy self. |

| I think a dollop of yoghurt helps in a case like that. |

| Yeah that's what I've given my pups before when they've eaten something too spicy they sholdn't have, your poor baby!! Haha I bet he'll be more careful from now on about what he licks up Glad he's ok!! My family's miniature schnauzer jumped on the table one time while we were all watching a movie and ate an entire serving of chinese general tso's chicken!! We freaked out because of the hot peppers and stuff that was in the box...needless to say he was fine after drinking a TON of water and he never jumped on the table again

No Longer a Member | Yeah, would have done the yoghurt if it had gone on much longer, but it wasn't too spicy and it was just a drop. Once he drank his water he seemed fine, though my kitty may need counceling...lol! |

| What i have learned in the last two years of having a fast dog is....1. Stop dog first 2. then pick up spill LoL Poor baby...hope he feels better today.

No Longer a Member | Lol, still working the stop dog thing, he is quick as a jack rabbit. Most of the time he is just a blur running around me. |

| One time I was helping my mom set up her medication and I dropped a Cymbalta (potent anti-depressant) before I could get to it one of my Chihuahua's swallowed it whole! I was horrified and called the vet immediately and could bearly be coherent. The vet calmed me down and told me to give him a teaspoon of tablesalt down the throat to make him barf. Low and Behold...up came the dreaded pill. So remember if they have swallowed something like medication that needs to come up immediately try a straight dose of table salt to induce vomiting.

| I try to get mine as soon as anything drops on the floor! Never had a dog that can be that quick and hear so well that something hit the ground! Donna, thanks for letting us know what to do if something like a pill gets eaten! I will remember that if God forbid that happens. |
