I've always had Maltese and now I'm a mom to 3 Yorkie puppies, one of the things I find fascinating about this breed is how their ears tell you what they are feeling. My husband and I have even started naming some of the positions. I don't know if anyone else has done this

. We call one of them the perky (self explained) , another the laid back lovely (this is the one you see when you get kisses or they see when you come home, the excited bunny when they see something new (close together and straight up), the silly airplane ears (when they are goofing around) are just a few. I've never had a dog with upright ears that can rotate them all around.

My son always comments on Ziva's ears, especially when a lot is going on and her ears actually Swivel!
Thanks for the idea, we will start naming them.

They sure do swivel ha ha. I love how they can squeeze them together and fold them back to.

Ha! Bailey's ears allow her to multitask! She can watch hubby in the kitchen, turn her ears and track me in the other room.

Yes, I love those ears!

Lol...That is too funny!! We call Alex's ears 'radar ears' because you can always tell if he is paying attention.... They are just such a fun breed!!

Willie usually has his turned back and flat, but his tail is always wagging and curved, and he's usually grinning just a bit. Wonder what he's trying to say?

But they go all over too. I love it when he suddenly goes really alert, they go extremely rigid and close together, bolt upright. He sits up straight as a board too. So cute! But sometimes also for some bizarre reason he likes to turn them inside out, and he's been known to wander about like this for hours!

My yorkie's ears are a "radar to. They follow sounds and jump up and down. It is so cute!

I think my girls pick up satellite stations - wish I could hear and see because that would totally knock out my tv bill

Couver's ears definitely tell me how he is feeling. He moves them all around and I love seeing how he can communicate with me.

I love the ears and their movements too, sooo cute!

I agree. You can really tell what they are thinking by looking at the ear position.
