I really dont know anything about anyone using peroxide on a dog. I would never ever do that or use any chemicals on my dogs.
Peroxide would destroy a coat IMO. Cant imagine anyone using that.

I know Maltese exhibitor who uses same shampoo on her show doggie that I use on my hair. (Purple shampoo, really lighten my hair to white colour without dilute)

Curiousity, does this count as cheat or accepted?

It is a shampoo, It is suppose to wash away the yellow tint.
Again a shampoo is rinsed out, a color enhancer is left in to darken a coat and not rinsed out.

But if you continues use a lightening shampoo, isn't same thing? But just use more often than dye? (Not accusing anyone, honestly curious if man I know bad exhibitor)

Yes, I understand that shampoo is used to wash away dirt. What I believe you both missed in my post is the use of PEROXIDE which is used to bleach hair. Whether you are adding or removing color it is the same thing~is it not? :confused: Isn't it done for the same purpose? That would be to enhance and change the color of the coat for the desired result?

It is my understand that the Parti color cannot be shown but lets just say they were. How would you stand on the use of Peroxide to whiten a Parti's color? From what I understand that is what the division of the Traditional and Parti Yorkie breeders is~correct? So what if at some point the Parti was allowed in the show ring. Would you have an issue with Peroxide use to achieve that pristine white coat?

Never ever use any chemicals on dogs that includes peroxide, No i would not find it acceptable for any dog.

If you use it too often you end up with a purple dog, im sure they wouldn't want that.

Ha ha true but you no answer my question. How is it not same thing as dying when it has same effect, just more subtle?

Alot of work goes into the show dogs but I truly believe if done with love and care and patience you can just about train anyone of them to really enjoy it and I use that as a time to bond even with the pet yorkies I have :)
I also truly believe that if puppies are well socialized with humans and other dogs at an early age you do get a good trait in a puppy you get from a good breeder. I always socialize my pups with humans and the adult dogs after they have their first set of shots because I personally feel the older dogs teach them along with their mother.

I think it's truly a mute point since the parti cannot be shown, but I'll bite....no, I would NEVER put peroxide on an animal. I'm surprised that you don't find it questionable that a show breeder applies a dye in hopes of winning a ribbon.

I guess I don't get it....why some are defending the practice of dyeing a coat in order to do well in a dog show? :confused:

I dont use it I cannot control others of what they use on their dogs.

Perhaps I not asking correct. If Maltese exhibitor or exhibitor of parti (if they in ring) did this with lightening shampoo, is ethical? I cannot figure out if this exhibitor is cheat.
