can anyone help me make it happen hello all I would like to get a puppy by Friday ..can anyone provide guidance on how I can make that happen. I had been saving pennies (literally)for this for awhile ....and guess what I had enough to get me a little boom boom (lol). But guess what ...someone broke into my house and stole the money jar. But I am not going to let that stop me I have waited long enough...I am on vacation and want to use that as bonding time ....but I don't have a lot of time. I can go to the local pet store but I've been told that is a no no... so hear I am seeking help and team work from folks who are the experts on yorkies .....thanks so much :ghug::ghug: |
A reputable breeder isn't going to have a pup that is available on such short notice and will want much more time than 6 days to check out any potential buyers, and they have long waiting lists. Pups also require a lot of expense initially, too, with vet checks, immunizations, hearworm & flea meds, spay/neuter, food, bedding, pee pads, other supplies, etc., and if all your pennies were stolen, then it will be very difficult to provide for a new pup. Have you tried a good rescue organization? The pup will be a little older, but will likely be completely up to date on vet care even already spayed/neutered, and being a little older with be much easier / calmer to handle. |
Good luck on finding you one by friday i'm just starting to want another so i'm just started to look good luck pat |
Im not sure what your asking? Do you want a free yorkie? Not many breeders just give them away I would look for a rehoming |

OP good luck with your search. :) |
If someone took your money jar, then it had to be someone that knew you had it.........so go from there. You said you could go to a pet store to get one. If you could do that, then you must have quite a bit of money to spend. They sell for double and triple what you could buy from a reputable breeder or on rescue. It isn't cheap to have a dog. There are shots, spay, neuter, annual check-ups, a good food and so on. It just isn't right to get a young puppy, try and bond with it in just a few days, then go back to a full time job leaving the puppy alone all day. You should really check into getting a rescue, and one that is settled and won't have a difficult time being left. |
Wow! You've had 3 seperate post requesting information on a breeder. You now state that someone broke into your house and stole the money you had saved for the purchase. I would guess that this means you have no money now for said purchase. If that be the case, and I could be reading into this incorrectly, you are looking for a pup to be given to you. Finding the right pup from the right breeder takes time.....it doesn't happen in 5 days. And as stated rescues take time too, at times they are picker than a breeder. As rescue pups have already indured so much in their short lives and rescurers want to insure they are in the best possible forever homes. I suggest you begin your search for the right breeder and save again.....This way you can have an idea what a breeder's fee will be and know how much savings is needed. |
In my opinion you should not get a dog right now puppy or older. You said someone stole all your penny's that you had saved for the dog. So do you not have any money to spare for a dog at all? this means you cannot afford the supplies you need for a dog for example bed, food/water bowls, training supplies, pen/crate, vet bills, food, worming syrup/tablets, ear cleaning products ect. Even if you got an older dog from a rescue centre could you afford the supplies it needs? You dont NEED to get a dog so soon, save up some more money before you get one :) And I hope you find out who stole your money jar, good luck. |

Thanks so much ..I will check out the breeders first that sounds like great advice. So that is where I will start ...one other question for you, keeping in mind that i can afford this purchase and cost is not a concern what are your thoughts on store bought puppies. thanks for your sound advice |
I have three dogs =two came from a pet store (puppy mill) and one came from a YTCA breeder. I love them all the same, but the dog from the breeder was so much better for so many reasons. I'd never buy from a pet store again. I had behavior problems in my 8 week old Barney that had to be dealt with and my dog Daisy has spent her life battling many medical problems that are the result of poor breeding. Her medical fees have cost me too many thousands to want to add up and I thank god I have been able to care for her and give her a chance. |
