Some people are so selfish!
 
I have just been reading some threads and messages from a certain member on here (I wont name names) and I cant get over how selfish people can be.
Why cant they just be happy with their pet? They seem to want to put the poor thing through breeding for their own greed and selfishness instead of thinking of the dogs well being!
Someone who basically didnt have a clue what they were doing, forced there dog to tie over and over again until it got pregnant, I understand at least 1 pup died and another has deformities.
AND they plan to breed her again this time with the stud they 'really' wanted just so she can get a girl to keep (probably to breed aswell).
Some people make me sick.
People like this seem to just do anything to get what THEY want without thinking of their pets well being at all.
Totally selfish.

And this surprises you why? Because people pat them on the head and coddle these types of breeders giving them the impression that "oh we'll support and guide you anyway." If the well being of the dog was never a concern to begin with, what would make it any different the second time around. Now they know where to go and who will hold their hand and jump in to defend them when, heaven forbid, someone is "mean." :thumbdown

I know exactly what you mean.
I have read a few posts about people trying to breed their dogs when they have no idea what they are doing.
And as soon as someone tells them how it is and why they shouldnt be breeding they get jumped on and made out to be a bully.
Its sad really because they are only looking out for the pups which is more then the selfish owners are doing.

For the life of me, I cannot understand why they do this. Do these other breeders support them because it makes them feel less guilty about their own breeding programs? Do they want Yorkietalkers to be one happy family? They say Yorkietalk should be a place for people to get answers, yet sometimes that answer is, "You shouldn't be breeding." The more I read about breeding, I know I don't have the skills to be a good breeder, and yet people who know so much less than I do, see nothing wrong with it. I'm tired of reading, "It's not rocket science," no you're actually creating life when you breed, it's much more serious.

Exactly! :thumbup: Those pups didnt ASK to be born so why some people think its okay to bring a new life into the world without the faintest idea of how to care for it is beyong me.

Well I understand wanting to keep the peace but There is a difference between helping and enabling. I see some breeders give helpful advice the correct advice for the situation and they are told their harsh. Sometimes the best help you can give someone is to get them turned in the right direction

Sometimes what you want to say and what you NEED to say are just what people don't want to hear. Some get called "rude or mean" for stating facts and standing up for the voiceless, I call them hero's.

I take pride everyday for standing up for animals, I spend my hard earned $ fixing your "bad breeding mistakes" (not you Bama) and I will continue to push hard for laws to change so BYB'ers puppy millers and other undesirables will have no more ground to stand on making profit off of exploiting animals.

OK I'll get off my soap box now, someone else can have the floor!:D

I haven't seen that, and I hope I don't run into it. Seriously, how dare they think it's ok to just breed to breed. What purpose does it serve other than to satisfy their own selfish reasons?

I wish the BAD breeders were made to watch a video of how heartbreaking it is when you have a sick dog because the breeder didnt give a hoot about anything but money. Kinda like the drivers ed movies you saw if you took DE on how not to drink and drive. Its sad for the dogs and the owners. The laws need to change for bad breeders or nothing will change. I just find it hard to understand how they can sleep at night. Im not saying all breeders are bad, but the bad ones spoil the bunch.

I agree.
Bad breeders give breeding itself a bad name, which isnt fair because there are so many good breeders out there who really care about their animals.
I really hope the person this thread is about (and others like her) are stopped before its too late.

...and then, after getting help and advice, they put an add on the internet trying to get a horrendous price (no papers, no health guarantee), giving them away at the age of 8 weeks and promise that one of the puppies will stay "tea cup size".

I don't know who you are talking about but that's ok because the names change but it's the same old story...
There is one explanation for it and you already said it -
SELFISH.
It makes my stomach turn.

Yep thats all it is pure greed from selfish people.
I wont name names but Im sure if you make your way over to the sick and injured forum you will find who I mean.
Then check out their past threads.
But sadly this member is not the only one who acts this way :(

Thats the world we live in today :rolleyes: Because of the selfish STUPID people in this world I'd rather interact with my animals instead of people sometimes. :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

So true!

I find I am better off in my own yorkie world.:D When I come here and read I end up upset the whole day..:mad:

I could not agree with you more! There are times that I come here and just want to cry over some of the things that I read about. It is just heartbreaking. The other aspect of this is those that come along just to congratulate the OPer of some of these threads. Now that says a lot about those members as well. Makes you really think who is behind that computer screen. :rolleyes:

I've been off YT for a while because of work overload during the day and studying at night and WOW...I just read this thread and it's heartbreaking to read about the same old breeding abuses. :( I feel sorry for that poor baby being bred like that.

Well I am be guilty of this.:rolleyes: I don't keep up with every thread and drama going on. I really have no clue who this thread is about so if they have had pups in the nursery I may have congratulated them. I don't have time to set here and go through them all. I just skim through every few days. I don't dig trying to find out everything on everyone. :rolleyes:

Right there with you Melissa. I don't have time to go back and read a person's threads before commenting on the current one. I hope I have never congratulated a person like this, but its possible. If that then "says a lot about me", well im sorry. I have my furbabies, skinbabies, and husband and I just don't have time to dig up everyone's dirt before commenting. I would hope a person's Rep. Isn't built on remarking on someone's thread without digging first. If so, I might be in trouble! Lol

Kristie i think that all of us give congratulations for different reasons whether
it is a wedding, new baby or a new puppy and not all work out all of the time
but we gave them well wishes

like you i do not have a clue who this thread is about but i pray that any babies concerned here is placed in loving homes
