Why do Yorkies stick their tongues out? Mia sticks her tongue out quite often. Is there a reason? It is cute as the dickens which is why there are so many pics of her doing this in the album. We just updated some more today in the office. But can someone clue me in why she does this? I hope she is ok.:aimeeyork |
Kaji hardly ever does this. He only pants with his mouth open if he's super hot. Otherwise, I can never get a "tongue shot." But that's just my dog. |
My little Lucy Bug does the same thing, so cute.. I often wondered why they do that too. |
Oh my this is horrible your life is over as you know it lol you have been hit with the yorkie curse lol from now on whenever she sticks that little tongue out you will turn into mush and abide by her command she owns you there is no turning back lol. Mia is truly adorable and that little tongue sticking out only makes her cutter don't know why they do that, my Stellina does the same (she has a bit of an underbite, so maybe that's why in her case) and yeah can't say no to her she knows how to work that tongue. lol |

Lexi had the cutest little tongue! So cute and pink. Sorry i've been cursed too. I use to always turn into mush. Sometimes I would say "put your tongue back in!" and it'll stick out more with an additional head tilt. :D |

1 Attachment(s) Your Mia is adorable! My Simon is 7 years old and I don't think I have EVER seen his tongue in his mouth. He bite is fine. I just think the darn thing is too long for his mouth! I asked the vet about it once and he had no answer. My Olive is 2 years old and has her tongue out a lot but not all the time. I think they know it's an attention getter. I always hear "Oh look, his little tongue is out!" |

YES they are so cute! And it seems you are right she does it almost as I am so darned cute and you will snap 300 more pictures because, well you can't get enough of me.... And yes now I understand the name MeeeAh ! You do get all gooey when they do this and she does it just enough to make me stop, scoop her up and kiss her MORE. Thanks guys, thought maybe there was a real reason other than control and added cuteness... On another note hey I have a niece Holley that lives in OK City! And I notice Simon and family being from MO? Mia has been working in MO with the bridges all over this year! I admit, I love her to pieces and can't imagine life without her, I made her promise she would live forever! |
These pics are just too cute. OP - I looked at Mia's photo album, and she is just gorgeous! Rocco stuck his tongue out but only for about a week, when he had lost all of his front baby teeth. I think there was nothing there to keep it in :D |

I've always wondered what makes them do it! Camden hardly ever does and when she does, it's only a tiny little bit. I have to look really close to make sure. Wrigley on the other hand has part of her tongue out almost always! Sometimes it seems like half her tongue! :) |

Sometimes it was just a little bit, like when she was sleeping, but when she was especially happy, you really could see her tongue. It made my heart melt. I could stare at her forever, and I never grew tired of it. All of these pictures were taken when she was fifteen or sixteen years old. |

When we first got Rosie she would stick her tongue out at us. I think it was because she was really nervous. My husband thought something was wrong with her because she would stand and look at us with her tongue out. It was sooooo cute!!! She really doesn't do it now unless she is hot. |
