http://www.lazydogcafe.com/location We went to the one in the Del Amo mall. |
If i take her, I will definetly use a carrier!! So thanks for all your comments!! |
we go to a lot of local shops small businesses and the like. as for chain stores we have been to walmart target kmart hobby lobby and a whole host of dept stores and we go into family dollar a lot the people love him and they get upset if he stays in his bag during the visit. the only place i have ever been asked to leave was walmart as i was checking out the cashier told me that Gatsby smelled and would upset people with allergies so if wear to ever bring him back wash him first this was when he was a puppy and i will admit he did smell sorta dirty but in a way that i think most dogs smell even when clean |
I know that the stores like Homedepot, Lowes, Ross and CVS have allowed me to bring my two in. Just recently I went to the Container Store (one of my favorite stores btw) and they LOVE dogs, each employee had dog treats in their aprons ready to hand out. It made me love that store even more :) I've even brought my two to church with me...my Pastor LOVES dogs too. |
Most places ask me to take Mia out so they can all see the precious baby! She loves to go. And is not fond of staying in the stroller. But Mia says she does just fine in her sherpa or being carried... Why walk that is what she has her mommy for. |
I used to take me Sheltie everywhere. But, he was a bigger dog and sometimes, we'd get the 'look' but no one ever really told us to leave. I've got a carrier for Fynnlie and I really hope I'll be able to take him places with me! I live in a college town and they're generally pretty dog friendly! |
I used to put my doxie Amy in a little baby ring sling she loved it & people would just say oh you must have a new baby in there. She went to the movies quite a few times. If I go to the grocery store during the summer yeah I would leave at home.A few months back took her to walmart and had her in my purse and on top of being heavy she could smell chicken and got out of hand barking and trying to jump out.Had to go home then go back.Miss her so much good memories. Other then that I would use the ring sling. She seemed to go to shopkos alot with me. |
Call me stupid lol but I haven't really tried taking my Lucy anywhere except petsmart just didn't think you could I thought most places would tell us to leave lol...:animal-pa |
I only go to stores where they are allowed to go |
Odie is too big to take everywhere, he weighs 15lbs LOL. So other than PetSmart he doesn't go into town with us much unless it's to my work (Walgreens.) Mostly for photo shoots and community events but he is now like our store's mascot =) |
I look for the 'No Pets Allowed' signs. I know they have food guideline regulations that won't allow pets, but I think it is dumb that Home Depot has a 'No Pets Allowed' sign and Lowes allows pets. Hmm, I wonder where I'm going to go shopping for my home improvement things??? Honestly, if a pet is contained in a carrier/handbag and the store isn't carrying food items, I will try to carry Khloe anywhere. She doesn't bother anything, and all they can do is ask me to leave (and no one does, they just think she's adorable and try to pet her and hold her, etc.). |

i just hold her never in a carrier or anything but i'm in south carolina |
When Ally was three months she went on a car ride from Central Florida to Ft Jackson, South Carolina for my son's Army Basic Training graduation. My sitter fell thru. So after purchasing a puppy purse, she has gone in to Wendy's, WalMart, Commissary (military grocery store), PX (military dept store), Bowling Ally, Basic Training Graduation, and multiple other stores. Now she goes to the airport with me to pick/drop off family (she goes with me tomorrow to pick up the same son as above from his tour in Korea), Petsmart, PetCo, Home Depot, & Lowe's. We were kicked out of a produce store. Now that I have two, I haven't figured out how to take two, so they really don't go anymore. Tia is not ready yet either; she doesn't seem to be able to hold potty for long periods of time. She gets excited. I never had a problem with Ally though. We're working on it though. |
Dont mess with our Kenzie... Actually, Kenzie's been welcomed everywhere I think. We've been to WalMart, department stores, health stores, ice cream places, McDonalds, Starbucks... But yesterday, I even got a headache at this toy store where I always go, no one had ever said a thing to us about Kenzie, but this bitter saleswoman approached us and said : No pets allowed, so we left and didn't buy a thing. We're fuming! Today, my mom called and reported her, they apologized cause they don't have a no pet policy there. How sad for that woman to be that bitter. |
I have taken "Princess" to Pet Stores, to one of the local shopping malls and recently took her to CVS. I called CVS before taking her there since I was out running errands buying cat and dog food. The woman I talked to on the phone at CVS said as long as Princess was in her enclosed carrier she was allowed in the store. I tried to take my Pomeranian puppy in JoAnn's when the temperatures were freezing. I needed a pattern and fleece to make him a warm "coat". They told me when I entered the store, even though I had my puppy in his enclosed carrier.... no pets allowed. So, I had to go home and then go back to the store to buy what I needed. |
