Thank you all so much for your reply! I hope that you will be able to read this all. I will go back later after I get off work to reply back to everyones post! =] When I purchased the puppy from the store it was from a friend that worked there. I had asked her if they were from a puppy mill and she promised they weren't. =( I love my suki very much and I've never really had a dog that was never spade because I've done most of my adopting from a shelter so I don't know what to expect from a non spade puppy. I asked sukis vet when was it possible to get her spade and she said when she's 6 months. She's only 3 and yoshi (the pom) keeps getting on her so I started to get worried. When we separate them they whine and cry. The information was very helpful and I guess I was trying to be naive about the fact that suki might have came from a puppy mill at the time I purchased her. She's like my baby and I've taken her to the vet to do all the testing as possible to see if she's healthy and so far she's healthy. =] I will for sure try to do the DNA testing. =] |
Pet store employees are told to tell their customers that their puppies come from "local breeders". If they told them the truth, no one would want to buy their puppies. Request a free puppy report from the link I posted above and you can find out about her background. Since Suki's background is unknown and most likely she will end up being far from the Yorkie standard, just get her spayed right at six months and enjoy her as a pet. Breeding Yorkies is risky and expensive anyway, because of their size. It should be left to the experts. |

And it's obvious you love Suki. You wouldn't be here asking questions otherwise. |

I juat want to add before you think about suki and puppies maybe go to the sick thread, read the threads,,i would say lots of the sick dogs that we ALL love are sick because of bad breeding. Take a look at my post under CT, and see how heartbreaking it is to have a dog you love to pieces is sick and cant make better. I wish I could send a letter of anguish to the person whose dog had my dog fife and let them know how much it broke my heart and soul to put him down. I thought I did all my homework, my breeder lied said she was breeder she was in fact a broker, I paid 4200.00 for my dog as his papers said he was champion lines yadi yadi ,, the papers lied, I found out much later the broker lady paid less than 500 for my dog, did I love him any less no, was he a wonderful comapion for 6 years, yes the best, but he died because someone cared more about money and puppies than his pain r my heartbreak, I wish we could somehow stop the bad breeders. |
Thank you guys all so much for your response. I thought I would be able to get back to everyones response but I didn't realize how much I would get in one day! =] I wanna thank you guys all for welcoming me to this forum =] I feel very excited to get to speak with experience yorkie mommies. I'm very new to having a yorkie let alone a puppy. Everyday is a wonderful experience with Suki. She's always doing the most goofiest things. After reading all your responses it makes me really worried about what are possible health issues that she might have. I love her so much and it breaks my heart to even think about the worst. My baby coco didn't have any health issues but she was from a breeder in Reno who left her at the animal shelter. =( I have already submitted a puppy report so I'm just waiting for their response. Thank you so much for that Ladymom =] Thank you all so much for the response and I'm very excited in getting to know all of the yorkie mommies on YT =] |
