All three of mine do this and it always makes me smile. One of mine puts so much energy into this that the other two have to get out of the way, or they will get grass in their eyes. Ha. |
Well i have a lil one that is only 3 pounds and my hubby loves to see her do this but not to lady like is what i tell him all the time i wanted a lil diva and got a tom-boy but she is still loved soooo much by this mom and she is my dog every dog we have had for years has always took up with hubby but not my lil tom-boy she is all mine pat from sc |
Beau does this and it is just too cute!! When I praise him on going potty outside he seems to do it more vigorously. He is just too cute! |
My yorkie dosn't do this but my older dog who is a cross breed does :) |

Not lady-like :D Nini saw her brother lift his leg once and she tried it too, only her legs are too short and it looked uncomfortable. I said the same thing to her "Nini, baby, that's not very lady-like." She hasn't tried it since, I guess she doesn't want to embarrass mommy? But I was joking and her daddy couldn't stop laughing. Those are the times when I really wish I'm ready with my camera. |
My Teddi does this and I LOVE IT! She is almost 4 years old and only started it about 1 year ago. Now if she doesn't do it I say "where's the little kicks and I love the little kicks" and she will do them for me. If she isn't in the mood it's hillarious because she will do 2 of them really slow as if to say "OK mom you got your kicks." LOVE HER!! |
Neo's best bud the Chi next door taught him to "El Toro" . He used to only do it on occasion, but now Neo is showing off for his little brother Connor. He even does it on the carpet when he gets through with a good scratch!:D |
All of mine do this including the new little maltese puppy I adopted. Izzie my shorkie will even do this when she playing with her stuffed animals. Sometimes she kicks them so hard they go flying through the air - not sure why she does it. |
Phoebe does that, and lift her leg too:rolleyes::p |
Mya does this after a #2. She just started doing it a few weeks ago... The first time I thought she had gone nuts, lol. She throws her whole body into it and kicks all her legs and then runs. I find it helpful as I can watch from the door and know that she went cuz she danced! lol |
My Emma does the pee pee dance (or should I say the pooh pooh dance), because she does it after every pooh. My two are totally backwards. Emma lifts her leg to pee, and Dawson just squats when he goes. Check this out. When Dawson takes a pooh, he refuses to leave his hind legs on the ground. You talk about something comical. He does a squatting hand's stand and walks around on his front legs to maintain his balance. That is why all his pooh is never in one spot. He has done it since he was a pup. Too funny. :aimeeyorkYorkieProud:aimeeyork :pNO MATTER HOW BAD YOU FEEL, A YORKIE CAN MAKE YOU SMILE!!:p |
Boo does it too. It's so adorable because his legs are very stiff and he holds his head up as high as it will go with his chest out. He looks so proud of himself. It's like he's saying "see mom...i did it outside again, i'm such a good dog" Boo knows that I think he's the most awesome dog in the world, therefore he doesn't need praise from me anymore, he does it for himself! |
Winston does this as well, always has. He's just so dang proud of himself I guess...and yes, so am I. |
Betty Boop does it after she poops. I've also noticed she does it when she gets hurt, like when a table leg runs into her (lol) when she's playing fetch.:doghop: |
