You are one of the angels that walk among us. What you do for animals many could never do. The fact that you are involved in so many rescue stories is testament to the commitment you exude. I'm so sorry that some have made you feel bad with their hurtful words. Please know that for many of us who could not "walk the walk" support and thank people like you. I know that rescue work is never easy and I know the work is never done. Please do not let these haters bring you down - the dogs need you.

It does get to be very tiring to be beat on by some people so often. But with all of the support that we have seen over so many rescues and their stories it does make you stronger, more determined and resolved to help. Thank you Cathy for your strength.

That's the thing about all of the tragedy~she wasn't ever going to go to YHR. So many people stepped forward and offered to help with transport or whatever it took to get Mindy to a place that could at least offer her some professional training. We did not silicate anyone for money for Mindy. The wonderful members of YT jumped into action at a moments notice to try to help. Several offered to put a fund together to provide transportation. It's just all so tragic that as a community we could not save this poor little girl.

So many lost/abandoned animals die every day unnoticed, unacknowledged, forgotten - and it is heartening when one of their lives leaves us with a little bit of meaning and more awareness so that others get involved too. Thanks for sharing this story. I agree with Ann, we need these stories. To see a life not lost and forgotten but lost and still have have something to give is heartwarming. love you girl!

I couldn't have said it any better.

You always try to go above and beyond to help an animal in need. Even if no one read anything other thread you posted on they just have to read the story about the poor lab to see that. Sure there are probably a few people who would have gone out there to look for the lab for a little while or kept an eye out for her while they were driving around. But not many people who put forward the search you did, plus making posters, flyers, and helping to get the story in the newspaper.

The people out there who think your posts are rude, blunt and mean can go fly a kite. Many of us see the real reasons for your posts and the heart and soul that go into them.
