They are under my name in the reply. Haven't figured out how to do anything else. He's going to help me. You can't see them? |
We're fine here but we're in Ocala so we were north of any damage. The most we got was some wind and rain. We're in the area most people evacuate to so the restaurants and stores were really crowded. I hope everyone south of us is o.k. Villette...I almost made meatloaf but it just didn't seem bad enough for that ;) |

Native Ocalean Quote:
Hi there in Ocala. Guess what?!!! I was born in McIntosh and grew up in Ocala. My family on all sides have been native from that area. Run into any Lyles, Knoblock, Nettles, McEwen, Hooker, Shealy, etc.etc.etc...we are probably related :) |
I am gonna try again in the morning.. Pat actually has a daughter who has a "block house" that they can go to if the winds and rain gets too bad..... |
hey, i live in central FL, school was cancelled here but it shouldn't have been, nothing really happened to us besides some rain and wind thankfully. |
According to the St. Pete Times this morning there are still several south Florida counties that have 76 to 100% of their residents without power. Those counties are: Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River, Okeechobee, Glades, Hendry, Collier and Monroe. Lee county has 51 to 75% with no power and it looks like Charlotte, De Soto, Highlands, Manatee and Sarasota have 26 to 50% with no power. So, if any of our members are in those counties we might not hear from them for a few days but I'm sure they'll get things under control soon. I can list some of the towns in those counties if anyone wants to know what they are. |
My mom lives in Naples but she flew home to Ohio before the storm hit. She has heard that her house sustained serious damage but has not seen it for herself. The roof blew off 1/2 the house and an interior wall collapsed according to the managers in her community. She is worried sick about it but is also glad she is safe. I just dread the thought of her having to deal with this. Prayers to all who have been hard hit by this hurricane season. |
Floridian here, but I'm lucky to be in the northern part (Jacksonville). Everything is fine here. I hope everyone is okay on the south side! |
Keeping you all in our thoughts & prayers. (((((((FLORIDA))))))) :lovewings :lovewings :lovewings :lovewings :lovewings :lovewings :lovewings |
We are keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers too. keep safe. |
I just had a quick note from Pat. She is okay, her dogs are okay and family is okay. She will not be able to post for a while though..she says HI and thanx for thinking about her. |
