We're home!! Poor thing threw up in her other mamas car :( So, she had to get a bath as soon as we got home. She is SO friendly...it is like she has been here forever!! Her tail...is umm....too short in my opinion. It looks like she doesn't have a tail!!! Her and my Great Dane have been fine so far. She has a very cottony coat. She is great with my kids. I have no idea what to name her. LOL!! |
Congratulations!!!:D Post photos when you have a chance! |
Congratulations! I'm glad everything is going well...besides the throwing up. ;) Wobie's tail looked short too because he had a cottony coat and you could barely see it through all of his hair. Maybe as she gets older you'll be able to see it more. What are your ideas for names? YT people are wonderful at coming up with names, especially if you post a picture of your new little one. |
Congrats, we definitely like pictures:) |
You can name her Eeyore, he only had a pin on tail. I know Eeyore is a boy, but it'd be cute for a girl I think. :D |
Lola has a cottony coat and it looks like she has a short tail. Sophie who has a silk coat has a longer tail, so it appears. I think they both have appropriate tail lengths. Just hard to see Lola's with the fluffy coat. Congratulations and hope you get some sleep tonight. |
Congrats! I really want to see a picture of her next to your Great Dane. |
Awww congratulations!! Can't wait to see pictures! My baby's tail looked super little too but once her hair grows more it'll look longer :) |
3 Attachment(s) OKay, here are some quick pics of her. She is so outgoing and friendly. I expected her to be sad or mopey for a while and she acts like she has lived with us for weeks! She loves the camera...as soon as she hears the click she looks right at it! |
Awww so cute!!! :D |
I am seriously in love!! I have only had her for 2 and a half hours. OMG! My daughter is so taken with her it is on the verge of annoying. Now, will I still love her when she has accidents and keeps me up all night?? Haha!! Lucy is so jealous right now....poor big ole baby! |
Congratulations - she certainly is adorable! |
Congratulations on your new family member. Will be so nice to see her grow up, and yes, no matter what she ah um......dishes "out", you will still love her, and even more than you already do. ;) |
Congratulations on your new lil girl! I know she will bring much happiness to you and your family. Can't wait to see pics. I have 3 Morkie girls and 1 Yorkie girl, and 1 Schnauzer boy. Lotta love here:D |
Congrats, cant wait for the pics:) |
Pics are in post #9! :) |
Congratulations on your new little girl! Sounds like she is fitting in real well! When you get the chance you have to show us a picture of her and your Great Dane. Do you have any names picked out yet? |
Oh, I forgot to say she is just adorable!!!! |
My daughter has called her Josie "Jo-Jo" a few times....maybe?? She is SO spunky. She was just outside with the kids running around the yard. She is just so happy....I am amazed. Oh yea, I do need a pic of her and Lucy! Lucy is 34" at the shoulders and 105 pounds. Little one here is around 2-3 pounds! |
She weighs 3.5 pounds She was born near St. Pattys Day. Keely means beautiful in Irish....or Kiely is graceful. She could be Ki-Ki for short! LOL! |
Congrats, she is just darling! Makes me want to give kissies all over that sweet little facie!!:D |
I like all those names..you could Incorporate them and call her Keely Jo or Kiley Jo. and you could still call her Jo Jo or KiKi for nicknames..congrats she is beautiful, |
Thank you everyone....I am completely smitten. My daughter keeps getting mad at me because I won't give her up! |
congrats very cute fur baby |
She is adorable! Congrats! |
She is very cute, I like the names Keely or Kiely with KiKi for short. Congrats |
Last night went great!! I put her in her crate around 11pm and put the crate on my headboard (there is no way she could fall off). She whined a little at first but I told her no, it is bedtime and put my hand up to the crate so she would know I was there. She settled down and slept until 7am! I took her out this morning but I don't think she has ever been taught to use the bathroom outside. She will chase me or the kids and explore the yard but she doesn't potty. (we were out there for 30 min) So, when I brought her back in she ran around for a few min then peed in the kitchen. I told her no and took her to her pee pad. She ran around a bit, followed me into the kitchen and peed again. She also peed a small amount on the towel we keep under our Great Danes food/water bowls. Maybe I will get some cloth pads for her. I used cloth diapers for my son...same thing right! So, I thought of a name this morning. For some reason "P" names have been in my head. She has a silvery face and where he hair parts down her back is a silvery white. So what about Pepper Ann? I also made her an appointment to get a quick cut in the AM. She has so mats around her bottom (no where else) and I want to get her used to the whole process. I also want to get her used to a top knot since it looks like she is going to have a yorkie face. |
Make sure she has had ALL her shots before taking her to a groomer or anywhere outside where other dogs go. She could easily get parvo or other diseases until she is fully protected. Glad to hear she is settling in nicely. Take your time with the name, try different ones out for a while and something will click when it matches her personality and seems right. |
