She's cute, but you should wait tell all shots have been given. Most groomers don't even want them in their shop without shots. You should wait about two weeks after last shot. I would not take a chance on her health. |
I found out she has been eating! She takes one little piece of food and runs across the room to eat it then goes back for one more. Her name will be either Callie, Cassie, or Piper. I hate that I will have to wait to get her clipped. She was sooo hot today I felt terrible for her. The kids and I are outside a lot because we have a pool in the back yard so she is going to be out a lot too. |
congrats! She looks so cute! |

The kids have spoken....Piper Marshmallow...... and who can argue with them? It's a cute name! |
What a cutie!! I like Callie for a name.. probably because it's my cat's name but instead spelled Kali ;) Congrats!! |
Piper is such a cute name :) Glad you decided on one - it is a hard decision sometimes! |
Piper is an adorable name! It is important to wait for her to have all of her shots before going to the groomer... While it's not fun to wait, it is for her safety ;) Just keep her cool by making sure she doesnt sit out in the sun too much... Maybe introduce her to the pool? I know mine like to be cooled off with just a little bit of water on their back... Just so they aren't so hot. You could also try grooming her yourself? That's what I do! It's really not as hard as it looks :) Well, congratulations on your new little one!! Make sure to take lots of pictures! |
Congratulations! Piper Marshmallow is quite precious and her name is darling too. |
Glad she has all her puppy shots, and I guess you need to ask the vet and the groomer for their recommendations about rabies and kennel cough. Luckily in Hawaii our dogs don't have to get rabies shots unless they leave the state and come back in cause we've never had rabies here. So I don't know about rules in your area. And I don't have to get kennel cough unless I board them, which I never will. So I'm not much help with those 2. You could get some groomer's thinning sheers and trim lots of hair away and it blends together and doesn't look choppy like with scissors. I did that with Meika, my fluffiest Morkie for about the first 8 months. Now I clip her back down short, and leave the legs and face full. I LOVE the name Piper! |
Very sweet girl. |
Thanks everyone! I think am going to look into learning to keep her short myself. It would make life so much easier! |
