I couldn't belive my eyes. Yesterday I took Jake to the groomer. I told them that I wanted him to have just a trim because I wanted his coat to grow out. You know when I came back 3 hours later I was speachless. Althought he looked cute with is cut, I could not belive my eyes when I saw that they cut 2 and a half inches of his hair. Then he asked me did I want any more off. I know that it could have been worse but I showed you a picture in your store. The thing that made me feel a little better was they way my little buddy runs to jump in my arms when he sees me. Has anything like this happend to any of you.

Yes that has happend to sami (10 mo now) he had his first two grooms since then. the last time i came to get him and I thought he's a snauser? she explained that until they are use to being groom it is very hard for them to stay still so sometimes when she is trying to trim to my specks he would move and then the next thing you know he looks like a snauser but he did look cute, so I understand it was his first two times and he is not a pro at being groomed but once they get use to their groomer Im sure he will sit pretty for them. So dont give up on the groomer a few more sittings and your baby we get use to being groomed!

Yes, every time I go to get a hair cut! LOL.... As far as getting my little Yorkie getting groomed, I do it myself, though I never cut his hair as I prefer it long and flowing. I have always been lucky to have the silky coat though it is only through this board that I now know the difference. Sue

i couldn't Happened to my mini-poo once with a groomer we had used a few times. She literally had bald spots about the size of a half dollar all over her back. My husband threw a fit and showed it to the vet there and he told him it was just the color of her skin showing thru. It wasn't. It was true bald spots. needless to say, we never went back to that groomer or vet.

Oh yes many times. It's hard to get exactly what you want - they see tons of dogs and just do what they think is best. Even tho they took a little too much off - I'm sure he feels really good. Next time - just tell them that the last time they took too much off - they should listen and if not - maybe a new groomer ... Katie
