If you have Admin disable your account, you can always ask them to reactivate it later and pick up where you left off. (If they choose to allow it and as long as it's been at least 30 days since you left.) But other than that, per site guidelines: 12. If you post a thread or post stating you will leave YorkieTalk, your post or thread will be deleted and your account will be permanently disabled. |

I belong to another forum with no such rule and a few members regularly post that they are leaving after giving us a tongue lashing, saying how fed up they are with the forum, etc. We even had one member threaten to leave because not enough people were commenting on her pictures! She counted the number of views versus the number of posts and was very offended that so many people looked, but didn't take the time to comment. Of course, they never really leave or if they do, they always return. People threaten to leave for attention and love to be begged not to leave. I am so glad YT doesn't permit this type of drama. |

I did ask someone to stay when I saw that they were attacked unnecessarily. They really did not post and sit around waiting for us to beg. They posted they were leaving...and bang, they were gone. I did talk about it later...it honestly still galls me. Not a lot bothers me on the internet, but once in a while I see something that totally gets to me. Guess we all have that happen at one time or another. |

Are these people just taking a kind of break or gone for good with closed accounts? And I know exactly what ladyjane is talking about. There were a few that were "my way or the highway"...ended up being the highway. |

hurtful i so agree with wiley'smom..the people that bash or know it all should consider what they're dishing out and how would they feel if it was dished to them...i came on here to meet friends yes i met a very nice person and 3 ppl after they saw how bashed i got..i bred my yorkie to keep an offspring so even though i read books on the breed and wanted to be a vet so i read alot on different kinds of animals..i want to know first hand from ppl that experience the good with the bad..i was crucified for breeding my yorkie said i was putting a death notice on her...that was from a non breeder but breeders said i was doing it wrong to keep an offspring,a girl..sadly chloe had 3 pups would of been 4 but 1 was dead inside her,the vet gave her a needle to produce milk and to push him out..she had 2 boys and a girl but the girl died sadly 3 days later...the 2 boys are striving..i came on here to learn and too calm my nerves and know what they just made my nerves go out the door..1 of the breeder who lives 45min from me i called her when chloe was having them and she talked me threw it and calm me down and suggested i take her to the vet for the needle to produce the milk since she wasn't..glad i did x-ray showed only 3 pups..so i see what everyone is getting at if you don't like someone or going only say mean things to them my pt is to stuff it and shutup for once lol ty |
Interesting how some people turn things into what they were never meant to be. I am going to stop at that because this is a nice thread and to give any further details would most likely turn it into a debate about compassion for people vs compassion for animals. I personally go with the animals first since they do not have voices they can use to speak for themselves. |
