Pixie got bashed in the parking lot!

Today we went to the store and I sat in the car with the girls, While my husband ran in. Two guys in there 20's had two pitbulls in their car and when they saw Pixie's head peeking out the window they went nuts and started barking. Of course Daisy and Pixie started barking as well and I told them quiet and omg my girls listened as the other dogs kept barking.. I praised my girls and one of the guys said:
Oh my gosh it is a sh** poo dog.................:eek: look at that thing!!!!:eek:

I don't normally speak my mind but I had a few things to say to him.
I did happen to say that he was a little aggravated that my dog listened and his didn't and maybe he needed to spend more time on training his dogs than trying to look tough.

My husband comes out of the store and asks what was that all about? lol
I said nothing I was just sticking up for my girls;)

How could he say that about this lil face?

I love it, the only way you could have slapped them better is to have thrown in something about guys who need favor bully dogs being insecure about their masculinity :):)

Don't let ignorance invade your thoughts - people don't think before they speak - you know in your heart he was just being a jerk and jerks don't deserve the time of day - You know - those tough looking little dogs can bring out the worse in people :D

WOW! I'm sorry but that is terrible. You don't like it when someone makes fun of a Yorkie but it's totally a-okay to call a Pit Bull God's biggest mistake? Wow, hypocritical, much? :rolleyes: There's most likely far more well behaved Pit Bull's than Yorkies in this world, atleast from my experience.

After that ignorant comment aside, to the OP... sorry those guys were jerks! Daisy is adorable and people are just rude and ignorant to make comments about anybody's breed of choice.

Wow, that's pretty harsh. I don't think that breed started out the way they have ended up. OP, you should be proud to have a well behaved little girl:)

I dont think its so much the dog, as the stupid owners..This meaning the ones that have them for ill intent..not the responsible ones.JMO;)

Oh, and can I add HUMANS created Pit Bulls... *not* God. They were man's creation and MAN have taken a beautiful breed of dog and specifically bred them for fighting and are ruining the breed's rep. Idiots from BYB's and puppy mills. Pit's are known to be one of the top family dogs actually.

OP: Sorry Pixie and Daisy were picked on. You're so right though, if only they would pay some attention to their pitties, they wouldn't be so jealous of your well behaved little girls. :)

Pixie looks adorable and uneffected by the name calling......way to go Pixie!! She must have a wonderful mom who taught her "names will never hurt her":D

So true. I don't believe we can blame God for this one. It is their 'idiot human owners' who made them what they were.

Remember Cesar's dog Daddy? He was a great ambassador for his breed.

Whoa, My Cane Corso Carlo looks like a large put on steroids. I guess I am insecure about my masculinity.

A properly raised Pit from a good blood line is the best family dog there is. They love the family, but they are dog agressive, as are a lot of breeds. Even a Yorkie has been know to bark at and attack other dogs. The old timers used to cull any dog that showed any form of human agression. I would own a good pit anyday if it were the only dog or raised from a pup with another one in the house. Your local thugs have ruined many of the current ones, but you can still find good ones.

I'm going to tell you a little story about pit bulls.

The day I met my now BIL for the first time, I went to his house with my husband. As I got out of the car, an ENORMOUS dog came barreling out the front door. This was back when pits were really starting to hit the news for being a "bully breed". I about peed my pants as this dog came towards me. When it got to my feet, he slid to a stop, rolled over, presented his belly for scratching and wagged his tail like mad. I spent the rest of the visit with him in my lap. My BIL went on to raise several more pits over the years. Each one was lovable, loyal, adored children and other dogs and never, ever even so much as growled in anger at a person or other animal.

I've had the pleasure of meeting many, many other good pitbull owners over the years. It is ALL about the owners and never about the dogs when pitbulls get in to trouble. It's unfortunate that they have inherited the bad rap that german shepards and rottweillers once had.

My aunt has 1 Pit now who is 8 years old who has never in his life shown his teeth (unless he's giving you a big ole' smile and kisses all over your face!) or growled or shown any aggression whatsoever. She used to have another Pit, Cyprus, who they rescued from a bad situation. What a sweet, sweet dog and just so grateful to have had an amazing home for the last 4yrs of his life.
