| Been gone for a while... Hi YT! I haven't been on this site for a while and thought I would drop by and say hi to everyone. Saphira is 7mo. old already and the love of my life! She is so perfect and happy. I was a nervous wreck about having her spayed because she is so tiny (only 2.3lbs) but she had her operation on Wed. and I am very happy and relieved to say that she is doing just fine. Saphira is walking and tried to run today. One question though...she will be lying down and all of a sudden jump up as is something has bitten her try to lick her belly (which I don't allow her to do) and then she will lie back down but continues to do this over and over again . Is she just uncomfortable or is it something else? Also, when should I be able to walk her again? Any info would be appreciated. Here are some new pix of my princess http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/alb...ictureid=90746 http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/alb...ictureid=90745 http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/alb...ictureid=90747

| Awwww, she is SUCH a dollbaby She IS perfect!!! Glad the spay is out of the way, it's always scary but especially when they're this little. I don't know if this is what's going on, but I've had several surgeries myself---Could be the nerves that were cut during the surgery are now reattaching---it zings for a second, almost like a bee sting or electrical shock Could be what's making her jump suddenly like that. As long as you keep her from bothering her stitches she should be just fine. If you notice anything "off", though, definitely call the vet. Has her appetite returned, and is she drinking/peeing okay? Don't worry about bugging the vet, that's what they're there for Call them if you feel anything isn't right, and ask I'd also keep her from running around too much just yet. She may think she's all better, but there is lots of healing to be done and she should be kept calm for at least 10 days, two weeks is even better. I know both of my girls acted like they never had surgery, the very next DAY I had to put them in their ex-pens to keep them from hurting themselves.
