| Yorkies and pics. My little Chloe will not stay still when I try to take a pic. some times she runs from me, she turns her head, she also barked at the camera once. The only way we can get a pic. of her is by giving her treats a lot of times. We can not give her to many treats because she could get sick. What can I do?

| I found teaching them the basic 'sit-stay' and 'down-stay' work. Once they have those commands down, pictures should be easy, or atleast semi-easy. When I take pics of Jackson, he knows he gets a yummy treat (such as cheese) so he's always cooperative. I put him in a stay and snap maybe 10 pics real quick then give him his treat, so he's not getting a treat after EVERY shot. Then I pick which ones come out the best.

| I think Fiona knows that she is so darn cute that she literally poses for pics when I take them. I agree with the basic "sit, and stay" command...You man want to hold a treat up to tempt her! Good Luck!

| I read on her to hold a treat somewhere on the camera so they are looking right the camera. It's been working for us.

| The treats don't work with Ruby, just gets her more excited. I just take lots of shots and hope for the best. I'm so envious of you that have little models

| Haha - Levi hates to get his picture taken! Too much sitting still! He will sit nicely for me for a few seconds, and then get distracted and turn away from the camera. I have a million shots of him running away or turning his head. The best pictures I have of him are either action shots or sleeping shots! |

| gotta laugh. If I'm REALLY lucky it only takes 5 or 6 tries to get a good shot of Soph. Most of the time it's more like 10 or 12 and a few times up to 20 and none of them turned out. |

| I took a photography class once. and you may think this is the weirdest thing you have ever heard, and it does make you feel a little silly.(at least it does me) but it really does work. they said to get a dog to look at you when you are trying to take their picture, you can make a fake sneeze noise..lol..I know thats what I thought too. but I tried it and they looked right at me every time. now granted they looked at me with the look of "what in the heck is she doing" but they LOOKED!! and I was able to get the photo. and I have been using this trick ever since..by now they probably think I am allergic to them..lol or they may think I am allergic to the camera..
