| Just emailed her.... Dear LaRissa Thomas, I was just made aware that you will be raffling off a "tiny female Yorkie" as a means to get money for your team. I realize that there is a lack of money to fund athletic programs, now more than ever before, but PLEASE re-think your choice of a prize. Puppies are not a good choice to give as a present or win as a prize. I'm sure you must be aware of that. How many people have bought puppies as presents at Christmas only for the new owner to sell, give away, or worse - give the dog to the local humane society? Probably more than you'd like to know. And if you doubt that I'm telling you the truth... just call any dog pound, humane society, or rescue. I'm not sure who donated this puppy but if they're a member of The Yorkshsire Terrier Club of America they are breaking the rules and should be reported. If there is absolutely no way out of this then PLEASE spay this poor baby BEFORE she goes to anyone's home! Sincerely,

One of my customers won a yorkie in the exact same way. 2 years ago at a carnival. they family wanted a yorkie bc they fell in love with Uni, and the little boy bought 12 raffle tix and won her. She ended up with a good nice family, but imagine if she hadn't! But the fact that this good nice family supported whoever was raffling her off in the first place! I didn't have the heart to tell them when they told me. i just didn't know what to say.
