My cocoa loves everybody but will go to the kids a few seconds but then she will practically jump out of their arms to get back to me. She loves them but knows who gives her the most care it hurts their feelings sometimes but i try to explain just look how haopy she is to see you when u havent been here all day she loves u but knows her momma just like u do. |
Avery loves to visit other people, but after he's seen everyone, he will come back to me. I think it has to do with comfort issues and the fact that they know you're the one who either gives him/her the most attention, feeds, bathes, walks, etc. Avery will only sit with my dad if I'm busy cooking or moving around and he doesn't want to. They are funny little creatures! Now, my mom is a different story. Whenever we visit, she's known to give in the most and always chooses her over me. |
i think yorkies are alot like children, they love the entire family, but they know who MOMMMY is :) |

Milo loves me better. Lol. He will get out of their lap and get with me when I come and sit down. They are so jealous. |
Georgie was my boy for 2 1/2 years and then I got pregnant (as if Daddy had nothing to do with that LOL). He has since become a Daddy's boy. While he still follows me and cuddles with me Daddy is who he wants to be with most of the time. I am ok with it since my husband loves Georgie just as much as Georgie loves him:D |
We have a bunch dogs between my friend and I. The Shih Tzus are my babies especially Oliver. Bassil has his moments and our Yorkie Zach can go either way. He doesn't care who holds him he shows equal love. Zoe, our Shorkie used to be attached to my friend because when I frist got her I had an accident and I was in the hospital for 3 weeks. Now she'll go either way, |
My girls like daddy to feed them in the morning and to take them out for last call at night. I'm home alone with them during the day, so they don't have much choice! Neither one of them are lap sitters. They just get too hot. Jilly likes to be with me -- she doesn't like to let me out of her sight. Scooter comes out for food or if someone comes to the door. Scooter is a closet dog. Her best friend was a Yorkie we had when we got her. Her name was Roxy. Rox was stung by a bee and died. We were all distraught, but Scooter really never got over the loss. I try to be extra loving to her when she comes out of the closet, usually for food or treats. I'm very sad for her, and I really don't know what to do to make her happy. I thought Jilly would be a friend for her, but they HATE each other! |
one person dog My in-laws breed Yorkies and their male is definately a one person dog....bonded to father-in-law and no one else. The other 3 Yorkies (females) all love everyone, no matter.....so I think it is just up to the individual dog too. Our little female yorkie puppy will go to anyone just wiggling all over the place, seems bold and sure of herself and because he father is one person dog we have went extra mile to introduce her to other people and dogs.......she loves all so far! |
Harlie is definitely daddy's girl. She follows me everywhere I go and is right by my side no matter what I'm doing. If I'm outside, she will sit at the door and whine until someone lets her out to me. If I'm hanging out with my buds in the court, she's right there with me. She loves her mommy too, let there be no doubt, but when I'm home, I'm it. She seems to be spooky smart and I think she likes it when I teach her words. She knows the difference in a screwdriver a pair of pliers, a hammer, etc. My wife really doesn't work with her like that and maybe that's the reason. I love her like one of my kids...spoiled rotten little bugger that she is :). |
