I have a 4 pounder (on a good day, somedays he weighs less) and a 6.5 pounder. The small one is very fragile. He has small bones and has stepped off a curb and cried (I thought he broke his leg). I love him and think he is the best, but I also wish he weighed a little bit more.

The dogs all seem so small and I thought there was no such thing as T Cup it is just a selling ploy. I agree with the other members.

I think you may be barking up the wrong tree with the places you are looking into. First, the imported dogs are simply dogs that are bought from mills overseas and then sold by brokers here in the US. The big thing today, is that these brokers are telling people that they have family overseas that breed and send them the pups to find families in the US. It's not true. They buy them cheap from mills and then sell them high here to US buyers. Secondly, you want to avoid breeders like the one you listed, that sell many different breeders including designer breeds. If you're open to the so called designer breed which they give fancy names to but in reality are simply mutts or as I prefer to call them mixed up pups, please then consider adopting. A nice place to start to look for your friend (Whether it be a pure breed dog or mix) is Pet adoption: Want a dog or cat? Adopt a pet on Petfinder. If you are open to adopting you will not only provide a home for a dog in need but also save a whole lot of money. On average to adopt is about $350 -400 and that includes the shots, vetting, as well as the spay or neuter. That is a big savings. If you are not open to adopting then please stick around and look for good leads for reputable breeders. There are many here that can lead you in the right direction. Elaine. I just wanted to say that I think it's so nice that you're doing this for your mom! She is going thru enough with chemo and yes, she deserves a really big surprise! I hope you find just the perfect baby who more than anything is healthy and happy and also brings lots of happiness to your mom as well! But please do everything you can to be sure she gets a healthy pup. I'd hate to see her have to go thru more heart ache with a sick pup!

I agree totally the right idea and the wrong place to look.
Thought just a thought what about seeing if anyone here that is a breeder may have a pup or even an older dog that needs a home.
You get one from a member here with a great chance of having a Healthy happy dog for you mother.

Anyone got pups on the ground or a dog needing a retirement home or an oops litter needing placed ?? Maybe you would like to PM and offer help.
Or a rescue.
Just tossing that out as if your Mother is not well right now is she up to a pup with lots demands ?? Pup maybe just teh ticket or maybe an older settled dog.

I'm a cancer survivor. Tell your mom you know a BC survivor who is 8 years out of treatment. We love those kinds of stories.
Also, I just want to say that your mom raised some great kid. Not only are you giving her a gift that she will love and love her back, but you are doing a wonderful job of research. Blessings to all of you. I hope you find an incredibly sweet Yorkie for you mom.
