So does nobody else think they may just be taking a deposit on her? I am trying so hard to be positive. :(

You don't have to yell at the person. They might only be looking for a deposit, or they might just be ignorant (shouldn't breed in that case, but too late now). Anyway, you could just say as a concerned citizen, you would like them to know that puppies shouldn't be taken from their mothers at such a young age, and hope that they are keeping the puppy until she reaches 12 weeks of age. If they get angry, you can always hang up on them. They can't hurt you. :)

I'm not the shy sort, I sometimes have diarrhea of the mouth. :p

Oh no - he's selling her - I just called!!!! He has sold at least 12 puppies within the last little while and they have all left at 6 to 7 weeks.

Yes, I think that could very well be the case. The ad is vague and this may well be a case of jumping to conclusions:xfingers:
Edit: I just read DamSweet's post. So sad. I try to think the best of people and it seems I errored on the side of good over bad.

I cannot imagine caring for a 5 week old puppy, that is terribly sad to take them from the mom and littermates so young :(

I have the same disease that AddieandMiaMom has...
He told me he and his wife had one female then decided to get a male because they thought it would be "fun" to breed them. Then they wound up with a few more (I don't remember if they were females or what - I was totally disgusted after he said he was doing it for fun). Then they all got pregnant at the same time. He also has a female for sale - they've decided this is just too much. I pretended I was looking for one for my daughter and asked if he was taking deposits and he said he would hold her with a deposit, but not for 6 more weeks. I asked if the parents had their knees checked and he said -"oh they're fine - they jump on and off my bed and my bed is several feet off the floor!!!" Otherwise had no idea. He felt that at this age they were starting to eat solids and are ready to go - even after I said that it wasn't healthy for that to happen. I asked about their health - any guarantee and he said they'd all been to the vet and had their first shots. UGH....I am at work or I think I would have come unglued. He asked me if I was interested and I told him "No I was looking for a puppy that was coming from a more reliable source - that I was not comfortable getting a puppy from someone so willing to sell so young!"
