Can you call and maybe let them know she is way too young to be taken away from her mother? So sad. |

I cannot imagine caring for a 5 week old puppy, that is terribly sad to take them from the mom and littermates so young :( |
I have the same disease that AddieandMiaMom has... He told me he and his wife had one female then decided to get a male because they thought it would be "fun" to breed them. Then they wound up with a few more (I don't remember if they were females or what - I was totally disgusted after he said he was doing it for fun). Then they all got pregnant at the same time. He also has a female for sale - they've decided this is just too much. I pretended I was looking for one for my daughter and asked if he was taking deposits and he said he would hold her with a deposit, but not for 6 more weeks. I asked if the parents had their knees checked and he said -"oh they're fine - they jump on and off my bed and my bed is several feet off the floor!!!" Otherwise had no idea. He felt that at this age they were starting to eat solids and are ready to go - even after I said that it wasn't healthy for that to happen. I asked about their health - any guarantee and he said they'd all been to the vet and had their first shots. UGH....I am at work or I think I would have come unglued. He asked me if I was interested and I told him "No I was looking for a puppy that was coming from a more reliable source - that I was not comfortable getting a puppy from someone so willing to sell so young!" |

5 weeks ?? :thumbdown to me the guy has know idea what he is doing , totally uneducated . Sad thing about this one is that their are people out there that will buy from him , being cluelss how dangerous this is for such a tiny , young baby . |

And when he said that he and his wife thought it would be "fun" to breed them made me so angry - like he was playing a game. He has a 2.5 year old 3lb female for sale (which I believe he said had 1 litter) and a male listed in the same paper. He said he and his wife are looking to retire - sounds to me that they found it wasn't as much "fun" as they thought and are looking to get out of it. But when he said he always let the puppies go anywhere between 5 and 7 weeks totally floored me. What an idiot!!! |
What's also scary is how many people are out there doing exactly what this guy is doing. Maybe he learned something today from your call. I doubt it; but I'm going to try to think positive. |

This is so awful! FIVE WEEKS old???!!!! Puppies are no where near ready to be taken away from their Mom at that age. There are ALOT of important things the puppies will not learn as a result of taken away so young. And then the new owners of the puppies as a result may or may not encounter some very serious problems that they may not know how to handle. Especially when it comes to their health, knowing the signs of hypoglycemia. Scarey! I am praying this couple will definitely be completely out of breeding. Maybe they have been turned in, in the past also by those that have brought home puppies so young. The area Humane Society needs to step in and shut this breeder down. |
After what I saw Chippy go through at 7 weeks old, I can't imagine bringing a 5 week old puppy home without the mother. Sick, sick, SICK! |
Wait~so this guy has several litters of puppies that he is selling all at the same time for fun? WTH---did they have dogs mating all over their house? This is just disturbing!! It just never ends :( |

there still in the paper today sadly there is no law in oregon that states minimum age of puppy at time of sell |
