| I took him to the vet today and... Hi all, I was just wondering if any of you have had problems with your yorkie being really sore after shots. I took Toby to the Vet n Wed. and he is still really sore. Funny thing is (not really but) he is really sore on his belly area and not on his back where they gave him the shot. He sqeals everytime I pick him up. Also I have never seen a dog squirm as much as him when he gets his shots. They literally have to stick him 3 times before they can give him the shot. Do any of you have this problem, or am I just being to sensitive?

| I dunno if he is just scared now or what. I have owned 2 dogs before Toby, and neither had this hard of a time with shots, ever. I am scared there might be something wrong with him. I am hurt that he might be mad at me for taking him.

| When Maddie had her shots, she wasn't feeling well and definitely was sore. She'd yelp if you picked her up wrong for a few days - and the tender area wasn't where the shot was given. Toby should be fine after a few days.

| Yes! Scout was sore for about a week after shots and yelped when we picked him up a certain way. Funny Toby seems to be sore on his belly-I have no explanation for that. But Scout also had fever and I was told by the vet to give him 1/2 baby aspirin. It seemed to help his pain, too.

| Was this just his first round (the Parvo shot) or is he older than that? Syd had issues with her Rabies shot wich I think she got at 12 weeks. Luckily they don't have to get one of those each year. |

| Thanks so much guys, you gave me a little bit of relief!!! But I think he is on his 2nd round of puppy shots? He is 13 and a half weeks old. He has one more puppy shot and then he starts on his big boy shots! They actually told me that he shouldn't have a rabies until he has gotten his permanant teeth, or 6 months, which ever comes quicker...

| He might be having a little bit of reaction to the shot if he is sore inother places other than where he got the shot. My jewels had a reaction and she was sore too the touch all over she didnt want too be held. She also shoke. She was better by the next day though. I would just keep an eye on him.
