Wishing the best! |
Any news yet? Sending prayers your way.... |
Just finished up reading :p ...so glad she has been found!!!! |
Mary, is it 2 o'clock your time yet? I can't wait to hear Mei Ling is safe at home. I like the suggestion to have your dog's vet scan them just to be sure. I wish I had thought of that, we were at the vets on Mon. |

Please insist that this gets done. Believe me, I've been through this and having my boys chipped was the only way I got them back and they were about 3 hours away from me. If they hadn't been chipped God only knows what might have happened to them. You should be able to call the chip company and change the owner information according to your contract and purchase date. Hoping everything goes well and 2 and she is returned safely to you. |
Oh praise the lord you found her. That is wonderful news. The power of prayer has worked again. I am so happy for you Mary. I know you will be so excited to have her back in your arms safe and sound. Hugs |
:yay_jump: |
When I was doing rescue all the dogs were chipped in our rescue name and kept in the rescue's name so if the dog got out or was turned into a shelter we could claim them very fast. We then would determine if these owners just made a one time mistake or there were issues going on and they were not protecting the dog. In this case..go and have the dog scanned, fine out what chip company and get the scan number...then call the chip company to see what action was taken. Is the breeder paying the yearly fee's?, was the breeder contacted? Could the vet/shelter scan this animal, did they have the correct scanner? Don't just roll over on this. Find out what chip you have in the dog, see if the breeder will let you take over or be on the second line. See what scanner your shelters use? |
Oh happy day!!!! I'm so glad she has been found and you will soon have your baby back. How smart of the vet to check CL. Truly great news girly! |

This is definitely a wake up call for me. What is odd is no specialist or vet has ever scanned my dogs and they are 6. I guess we have to ask them? Why do they not do that automatically? I am so thankful that this vet checked out CL that was great and smart thinking. I think this man and vet deserves a big hug and thank you from us all :) |
YEAH!! Oh that is fantastic news Mary! Thank goodness for the caring neighbor. |
Keeping my fingers crossed that this is her! |
Yay it was her I could not even describe what I am feeling right now....i went over there early since he called to tell me he is done and is at home...right when he open his front i seen her running up to door and called her by her nick name Ling Ling and she dashing out onto the porch and rolled over for her belly rub with her tail wagging a million miles per hour....he was so kind and wouldn't even take a reward he said he has 3 dogs and he would be devastated that if they had gotten lost and whomever found them decided to keep them....he also mention that the vet that he took her to went more than just an extra mile in helping him to locate me.....when the scan the chip nothing and no information came up so they called some national database thing and that is when they found out the chip came oklahoma...and when he called me him that chip should be register to her breeder in oklahoma...and he knew at the point it was my dog....weird thing is that another lady around that area lost her yorkie that is also 3 years old...and when the vet looked at Mei Ling he estimated 3 years old...so he called that lady first and had the lady describe her yorkie...once she said that her yorkie had floppy ears and he told her this one ears is sticking straight up..then she was like that doesn't sound like my dog....but hours lady she called and thank him because her dog has been and that he is doing a wonderful thing by trying to locate Mei Ling owner and she was crying and he said that broke him too.... its funny that he said he has always wanted a yorkie and when he woke yesterday and looked out his glass door...he seens some distorted looking do to all the glass work on his patio door....and when he open the door there was sitting on his porch wet and scared..she took off then came back up....and he knew she wanted to come up but unsure if it was safe...and once he got her inside and dried her off, he instantly fell in love and told his wife that if he can find me then he would keep her because faith bought them together....he said she has been his pal since he bought her in...she doesn't bark and follows him everywhere jumping up and down...i can't thank him enough....for what he has done for us.....so i think i am going to put together a thank you basket for his Boston Terrier...since he wouldn't accept a cash reward...he said his reward was seeing us reunited and how happy we both were... Also he asked me to keep an eye out for a yorkie for him...he is retired and would love to rescue but because he doesn't have a fence yard he can't get approve...but told me if i every ran across one even from seller that falls into his budget than to keep him in mind....i told him i will go the extra mile to get a yorkie into his lovely home...i can see why Mei Ling chose his porch to ride out the rain...his home was lovely....and i also advice him never to buy from a pet store because that is support puppy mills and he said he would never buy from them....as he said he would love to rescue one but being that he doesn't have a fence it is hard to get a rescue.... thank you everyone for the good thoughts, vibes and prayers today has been one of best days i have had in quite a long long time.... |
Sooooo glad you got your baby back safe and sound! It warms my heart to know there are still good people out there like the man who found her. I think a gift basket is an excellent idea! -C |
