yeah....did some birthin' here today
 
we had 4 puppies today. not sure on the sex yet... higher up is boy right? if so we got 4 females and one male. we had 3 breach births out of the 4.

Congrats!!! That is good, glad everything went okay. My little Gizmo is sick right now I am soooo worried!! Did you ever find the hemostat?


P.S - is it 4 or 5 pups?? c'mon grandma!! :thumbup: Good job!!

WOW!!! Scarey and wonderful, isn't it?!? You can definetly tell a boy from a girl. I know it is very hard to tell in newborn kittens, but puppies are easy. Please PLEASE keep us informed by posts and pictures of your NEW BABIES!!!!!!!!!! C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S !!!!!!

ps. I'm confused because you said something about 4 babies and then said 4 girls and 1 boy. That equal 5. Yikes I'm confused!!!!! Anyways I'm so happy for you and glad that momma is doing well!!!!

OOOhhhhhh..now your fun begins....sleepless nights...potty everywhere....oh the fun you are going to have....(sorry if this sounds kinda crabby....but mine of been up crying for the last two nights to be played with) Seriously....glad the births went fine and the pups are doing good...Congrats

ok so here are pics i took a couple are graphic. LOL
just thought i would share one of the births with ya.. it was a breach. and yes i was mistaken on the number.. but she only had 4. sorry. i was sleep deprived.. and still am. and i guess still will be. LOL
I am sure i will be posting many more pics.

Gosh, these pics just melt my heart and remind me of it all....thanks and good luck to you and your new babies! ps- dont you love that pic of the little feet pushing against the sac....little paws waiting to arrive. sooo cute!

ME TOO!!! :) I wish I had taken pictures like that!!! Those are great!!! My birthing days are over, LOL, but these pics make me feel sentimental and nostalgic:) Great job and congrats!

Bitsy having puppies almost seven months ago is the very reason I am found and am on this board today :)

Thanks a lot for posting these pics. I don't know how many times I have said I wanted to watch some little yorkie puppies being born. Awesome. :)

thank you all. I am whooped tonight. no sleep last night and probably none tonight either. the only one that i had to actually help pull was the second one. it was the biggest. I felt so bad for her but she did a wonderful job. this is it for me. no more. i shook so bad i had to have the neighbor tie a couple of the cords. she is such a good mommy. she took over and did most of it for me. LOL. You all were right when you said the motherly instinct would kick in. it did. and she just knew what to do. my husband picked one up and she noticed one was missing. she started searching for it right away. she can count.
tomorrow to the vet.
I am so proud.... we did it... but I don't want to do it again. my nerves are frazzled and my back is killing me from laying all night in that whelping pen.

Your pups look AWSOME!!!! That second shot really is incredible.....I too love how you can see the feet! :thumbup: :thumbup: Try and get some sleep now....mamma will take good care of the babies. Well, don't sleep too good, you need to make sure they don't get stuck behind or underneath her or under any blankets you may have in there. Remember that they don't produce any of their own body heat for the first 3 days. Also, mamma will need to go out to pee frequently and then want right back in with them. Well, you didn't ask for tips, so I'll try to shut up :p Again, CONGRATULATIONS and thanks for sharing those awsome pictures!!

Oh my, I would never turn down any tips. I am not a know it all. I am quite the reverse. any tips will help me. please feel free to add anything you wish. and thanks for the going out frequently tip. I had to drag her out the first time she didn't want to leave the babies.
