♥ Dora is in surgery now ♥ She is having her spay surgery as I type. Please send prayers and positive thoughts that everything goes well. I am a nervous wreck, as my previous vet almost lost Missy last year during her spay. I will update when I hear from the vet. Thank you so much everyone who sends good "yorkietalk vibes" our way. |
prayers sent! <3 |
Sending positive thoughts and prayers your way - She'll be back in your arms in no time!!! |
Shaunna, I'm sending big hugs, happy thoughts and lots of prayers your way. Maybe it would help you pass the time if you posted some new pics of the girls for us? Hint hint. :D |
Prayer's are on their way. |
I'm sure you're beside yourself. Sending special thoughts and prayers just for your Dora.:) |
3 Attachment(s) I have been waiting to take pics when I get my new camera lens tomorrow afternoon @ 2pm. It is a good lens for portraits. As soon as that lens is in my hands, I will do a yorkie photoshoot. :D Here are the most recent pics I have. They are from just over a month ago. First two are Dora, and the last is of my lil Missy Mouser (can't forget about her) :) My kids are driving me nuts asking when Dora will be ready to come home. I swear they're asking every 2 mins. It's going to be a long day! ;) |
Ohhhh, Missy has truly grown into her beauty! And little Dora looks so much like her big sis with that adorable little face! I've missed your updates and stories about them. :) How is Dora doing sizewise compared to Missy? Are you more comfortable with her size? Thanks for this pics!! |
Your baby is beautiful! Sorry just noticed you have 2 they are really cute! Prays your way... she is so small...like my babies... Makes you spoil them more. |
Hugs to you on this stressful day, and prayers for a quick recovery for Dora. Your Yorkies are so beautiful! |

I said a prayer for your darling little Dora! Hugs to you...I know what a terrible worry it is to put our little ones through surgery, but I'm sure she will do great! I'll check back later for updates! |

Sending Special Thoughts & Prayers for yr little Dora! Littly Missy wants you to be ok & home very soon. The second pic of Dora & yr son is the CUTEST!!;) |
you got it! sending good thoughts and prayers yours and Dora's way! Hugs. |
Update! Bonny, Dora is 4 lbs even. Missy is 4 1/4 lbs, but she's slightly overweight, must be the homecookin' ;) Dora hasn't gained weight in a long time, although she was charted to reach 5 lbs. We will see, I guess. UPDATE! Dora has made it through surgery. The vet said that she is a very brave little girl, and did really well. They have her in recovery now. I am suppose to phone in 2.5 hrs to find out what time she will be ready to come home. They want to keep her there for awhile, normally their policy is to keep the pups overnight, but this paranoid Mommy WOULD NOT allow that, as there is noone attending to them while they stay there. They also weren't going to give her any pain medication to come home with  so I've insisted on 3-5 days worth of metacam for my little girl. I want her to be as comfortable as possible. Thanks for the support everyone. I will try to be more diligent with my picture sharing once I get my new camera lens. I was just getting frustrated with my new camera, and learning how to use it, so I haven't been taking as many pics as I use to. I do still browse daily, and post when I can though. Couldn't live without my YT! |
So glad Dora made it through surgery!! I will be praying for a speedy recovery. Lil Missey is adorable!! |

yipppeee...I, totally, understand bringing Dora home...I insisted on bringing my Apple home...No body, on the planet, can take care of their baby, like Mom!!! Hang in there, you know they're a little uncomfortable, for a short time...Key word here, is short time...Before you know, she'll be up and dancing...yorkie kisses from Apple & Buzz to your little Dora :animal36 |

I'm glad she came through a-okay! She is such a cutie pie. |
Pictures! 4 Attachment(s) Wow - I am so impressed with how well Dora's surgery went! When I went to pick her up, she was shaking quite a bit, but as soon as she was with me, she stopped. She was just scared I guess. She has been alert, but VERY calm. Which is unusual for Dora LOL! She is finally having her first sleep since I picked her up 2 hrs ago. Her incision looks INCREDIBLE! I can't believe it! I have had several pets spayed in my life, and I have NEVER seen such a clean, small, straight, perfect looking incision before. The sutures are all internal, and I don't see any glue or anything. It actually looks like it's healed already, although I know it's not. It just looks that way. So my new vet gets :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup: from me! Now, I also have to mention the price difference between my new (much better) and old vet. Dora had to have 8 teeth removed. At my old vet EACH tooth would have been $34 (times 8), her spay would have been $484, plus an exam $67, and the microchip $64. With 12% tax, that would be a grand total of $997...IF they didn't charge me for anything else. My new vet charged me $299 for everything. Spay (210), teeth removed (20 for the lot), and microchip (55). The meds that I insisted on, and they don't normally send home with them, were free! I can't say enough good things about this vet! I will be posting a positive review online and dropping off a gift at the office tomorrow. Now for pics. Missy is thrilled to have her sister home. I had to move her bed next to the crate, because she will not leave Dora's side. Dora ate a bit of chicken, and she wanted me to hold her. So I took her for some fresh air on the back deck. It's so funny, she can't stop yawning. Dora's usually SO spunky. She looks pretty good hey? I'm really impressed with how well this all went. Thanks for letting me share. :D |
